Well the el camino is wrecked on the passenger side and rusty in more spots than the malibu and I'd have to pay for a lost title. As of now it looks like I'll be taking a ton of parts from it either as upgrades or replacements, so I think I'm going to cannibalize it for the build.

The frame rails look good.

I kinda figured the Elky was a donor car. Well, salvage whatever is usable from it.
Keep us updated on your progress.

Great news! I thought the motor was bad. The previous owner said it had low oil pressure and a bad knock.

My buddy Rob said it's just a stuck lifter.

Got to drive her down the road. Shifts rough and needs a bad tune. But that's money saved for now.

After spending some time with the camino I've decided it is worth repairing. Yes I'll still take parts from it but it will be swaping parts like dash panels or exhaust.

Ill get some pics of that up tomorrow.

Does anyone know if the rear glass for an el camino from (78-87) are interchangeable?

The el camino came with no rear window installed but it had one in the truck bed. It almost fits but there is an inch gap in each side of the contour. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Not sure about the gap...but as far as I know the rear windows are the same from 78 - 87. I've got one sitting here myself.
