Yeah, I know how it is. My first classic car - 81 Turbo Trans Am - I didn't start doing anything on it for 3 years.
I bought that car as a winter beater in 1993 or 1994? I paid $500 for it and I forgot I owned it until my daughter seen one like it and said daddy I want that! Well it's her's now she turned 12 yesterday this is when I gave it to her

That was Aug 2014 and believe it or not the car still runs and drives but it needed a frame back in the 90s that's why I have the yellow one

That's a nice story Clutch, your daughter is lucky to have you as her dad!
When/if I have to buy my daughter a car it will probably be something like a 1.3 Litre Fiat and even then the insurance will be sky high.

I have a 4 day weekend starting from tomorrow so I'm going to get some more done on the Olds.
This is where I'm up to at the moment, took all the seats out, stripped the carpet out fully, and the BIG job the dash - which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be actually.

So, welding to front floor pans and underneath the HVAC as I presumed by the green stain on the carpet when I viewed the car first - below

And a TR7, the shell looks really clean for a 1980, I had to look close to see if it was fibreglass
