Air ride would be cool. Gonna do it yourself, after you get the car back or have them install it down there?

All you have to do is ask here or youtube it. It doesn't look too difficult...compressor, solenoids, switches, pvc lines, shocks/springs, 12v. That picture when you come onto the forum got ya wanting the airbags, huh? The car looks good. 😀

After wasting hundreds on having air ride all re-done in 2010 for my caddy I can't say I recommend it. By the spring of 2013 one of the shocks folded up and the ride quality is back to trash. Didn't even get 20,000 miles out of it. Can't believe how bad of shape the air ride shocks look when I get up under the car for only being a few years old. I will definitely be converting to coil overs asap especially when I found out it will cost me half as much to install...

WE WANT UPDATES!

WOW! I've been going through this thread page by page, and I am excited for you beyond measure! We started out with our projects neck and neck, but you have definitely surpassed my progress. I'm still in the process of trying to complete frame work and metal work, but hopefully I'll be making some moves shortly. Brother, I'm fired up for you and I think your Calais is the best thing on this forum......after mine! lol! Keep us posted!

And keep holding it down for ALABAMA!

It would have been done 2 months ago, but I got an email about the guy that suppose to paint it. Email here from Dec 30 (Jimmy's wife almost died & he has been with her in the hospital for almost 3 weeks. He stopped by Friday. I hadn't heard from him for almost a month so this made sense. I'm not sure how long she will be in there. I do know she actually died twice on the way to the hospital. She had just got out of the ICU Friday when he stopped in to see me.) After reading this, I did not know what to say after.

More coming soon I hope, just waiting on it to go to paint and then it will be put back together.
