Well finally I got some pictures to put up here. My last post basically summed up what I've done since the last update, except for me putting the engine together for good.

I ended up mounting the control module for the digital dash right behind the radio. The module is about 4x6" and has a ribbon cable to go to the cluster.

Engine sitting in it's home for a couple days

B&M trans cooler (forgot the exact size, it's the largest they offer)
and custom radiator support x-braces to clear the cooler

Conveniently, you can't see anything behind the grille

Fixing the heaterbox that I knocked a hole in, impatiently putting the engine in by myself :?

I decided not to smooth it and what not, that will be hidden by the coil packs anyways and it will be time wasted at this point.

Cutlass hinge covers FINALLY put on the seats

That's all for now, I've also replaced the crappy BRP trans crossmember with an Iceman Racing crossmember that bolts right in. Hopefully I'll have the engine and trans dropped into the car tomorrow so I can start buttoning it up and get it on the street this year.

Thanks for looking everyone

So, somehow i missed this thread. I love that you kept the stock looking interior, it looks very clean. That thing is going to be a lot of fun to drive once you get it on the road. Can't what to see more updates. Hopefully my next build will have an LS Heartbeat. keep it up. 8)

Wow, just went through the holes thread and seen ur utube vid of the mally on the track, and im blown away....ur doing suck a good job...whats next?

By the way? what did u do with the other gauges u had before the dekota? are they avaliable? pm me

This build is inspiring, are those level 1 PRC heads? What did you do for springs and valves? Great job!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Makes all the time, money, and patience with building the car worth it.

What's next? Well of course I want to go faster haha. It's best so far is 11.83@115 and that was with a 1.71 60'. So my next goal is getting into the 1.5 60' range. I picked up a set of adjustable drag shocks from Summit, and some rear coil spring helper bags. I'm gonna take a trip back to the track soon and see how well it hooks.

I'm keeping the car stock looking on the outside and inside, which means no cage. The closest track near me is Route 66 in Joliet and they are very stingy with the rules. It's the only track that I'll drive to, the last passes I made were at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin. It's about an hour 20 minute trip, not worth risking driving the car there and back with the amount of changes I make each time I go. So that means I need to keep the car above 11.49, no big deal 8)

To be honest I'm not sure what stage PRC would consider these heads. Texas Speed was having a sale on ported heads so I sent mine in to get done. They are 243's from an 02' Z06, and they came from the factory with hollow stem valves. The springs are PRC .675 springs. I'm thinking possibly another cam swap with a set of injectors next. I was specced a cam that was 231/234 with .621 lift, significantly bigger than my 224/224 .561 cam.

I'm hoping to hit 11.5's with the shocks, drag bags, 25% underdrive pulley (in the mail), and some drag lite's/pro stars up front and out back.
