8.5 10 bolt 3.73 posi any good?

ok so what would u say is to much for the rear end he was asking $275 at first and i thought it was far for a posi.but now cuz he has another car he can ues the 8.5 in and wants $500 for it now

yeah its a 8.5 3.73 posi out of a 78 monte and its never been rebuilt er anything still worth 500

it's hard to find the 8.5 to begin with and at $500 it's a bargain..he's a dick changing his asking price but there's not much you can do about it...

yeah i kno i cant do any thing bout it i was just worndering if $500 was woth to or not.and also just found out hes swapin rear ends cuz he put wheels on with the wrong jug pattern and bent all the lug studs on the car so id have to put all new studs in it

New studs aren't a problem and actually a good thing since they are probably due to be changed. Metal fatigues after a while

Yeah $500 is still good on a posi 8.5", but it's the principal behind it!

yeah im right there with u. the guy is a buddy of mine and i cut him good a$$ deals on parts in work on his cars all the time.but iv been looking up the rear end up and $500 seems like a good deal for what it is.but i think ima wait a week er 2 and offer the $275 he told me i offerd $300 in the first place he told me he would sell it to me for $275 i kno the rear end aint goin anywhere

Some buddy he is! I say just lean on him a little bit, throw some guilt at him, then hopefully he'll let it go. If he advertises that rear end it won't sit long.
