8.5 rear bent axle

Before you jump on the axle, what kind of wheels you running? If they're SSII/III wheels you have to consider those sometimes had some issues with 1) being bent and wobbling and 2) balanced improperly most of the time. Not saying it is, but if everything else has been eliminated, then it is what it is. Hate to see you go through all of this only to have the same issue.

Have a slightly bent axle (noticed it while the rear of the car was on jacks and in drive).

1985 442, stock 8.5” 3.73 rear.

looking to replace both axles with something stronger than stock, anyone have a recommendation?

Also, I’m guessing I might as well replace the axle bearings and seals. Anyone have a preference or part numbers for those?
How do you know the axle was bent? Maybe just the wheel is bent?
