If you're going to replace the cables on the axle might as well go all the way to the pedal.
I'm not replacing any of the cables just disconnecting them from the rearend and connecting them to the new rearend

i just have my neighbors just leave their sliding glass doors open, that way its a 0/100 % on breaking one. lolI also dont want to send a coil sailing through the neighbor's sliding glass door Haha.
One from the pedal then it spits about the halfway point along the drivers frame rail and goes to the brakes on either side of the rear. So I guess 3Not trying to highjack the thread but how many e brake cables are there? 3 or 4?

I think it's easier to leave the entire brake assembly together and remove the backing plate, shoes, springs and parking brake cable as one and then transfer it onto the new axle.I'm not replacing any of the cables just disconnecting them from the rearend and connecting them to the new rearend

Isn't the backing plate different on the 7.5 and the 8.5?
