The smaller G.I.Joe's, Transformers (still have my Jet Fire), Lego's, of course the slot cars, Hot Wheels & Matchboxes, Wheeled Warriors, & any other die cast/steel/plastic vehicles I could get my hands on. Get al little older the came the model kits. Never got into the Star Wars. But when the need for bigger 2 wheels I got an used AMF Evil Knievel bike with all the motor bike cladding, rode that until the welds broke on the side tubes. Then it was the used Schwinn BMX. Then the Monte came into my life & forgot about most of that stuff. Now over thirty years latter I wish I had most of that stuff to pass on to the junior mechanic (but some of hs toys are some good replacement since I influence him. 😀)

I forgot to mention all the 1:24 1:25 scale models. My dad had a bunch of old spare parts from his '60s kits so i was able to build some kustom stuff. Still have almost all of it. Still have all my Legos and Hot Wheels too.

Probably Star Wars. I had some GI Joes, but mostly Star Wars. Until my dad decided to throw them out one day, because he thought they were "dolls." 😡 What can I say, he was an old-school WWII Navy guy. 🙄 At least he let me keep most of my Matchbox & Hot Wheels cars. Also got a few 1:18-scale cars. My nephews trashed most of those, but still have some.

I had some GI Joe but Star Wars was king when I was little. Also Thundercat's, Masters of the Universe and Blackstar figures. I still have the awesome big Tonka metal Jeep but one wheel went missing.

aaaaah yes, dad's toolbox! at a young age, many was the lawnmower that suffered my ambitious dis-assembly, only to realize that I didn't have the skills to put them back together.... maybe that was why he didn't complain about all the matchbox/hot wheels cars, legos, and model kits....😕

In the 1980's I was into 1:1 cars and motorcycles.
Flashback to the 1960's - Strombecker 1:32 slotcar racing sets. In fact, I just dug out my old set, bought extra tracks and a lap counter and hope to set it up in the basement in the next few weeks. Pics then.
PS> never too old for toys!

Hot wheels and legos like a bunch of the others have said. I also have an extensive collection of micro machines. Funny thing is, I recently pulled them out of the basement for my 2.5 y.o. son and he loves them! Out of all the toys he has, he would rather play with dads “microsheens” as he calls them.
