BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Cool, looking forward to it Jim! I'm taking a couple days of in a couple weeks to get a long weekend thrash on the cutlass and hope to get it where yours is now! Best of luck on the progress, the finish line for paint seems to be in sight for several of us before winter strikes!

Spend all day so far sanding, cleaning, and painting the jambs of the passenger side doors and fender.

Just got done.

I have to take my girls to their dance classes in a bit, so I am pretty much done for today. Tomorrow I hope to get back on the hood.

Looks good! Kinda hard to tell from the pics Jim, but is that gloss or semi gloss? Are you using the flattening agent on those as well? Can't wait to see it all come together for ya....exciting for sure!!!

Scott, I know the pictures aren't the best, but the color is gloss. The glass frames will be semi gloss, they are gloss right now also. Its easier to do the black, then color, the gloss clear the whole thing, then come back and scuff just the frames and put a coat or 2 of the semi gloss clear on them.

Alright, small update. Doors and fenders are back on for the last time. Wheel wells are in loosely, and I started to feed the harnesses through the doors. I need to finish the bodywork on the hood and paint the underside, so close.

No pictures though yet since I was hustling to get it done and forgot to take some.

Got out there tonight for a bit, I got all 4 done light door pin switches in, all the wiring run through the bellows to the doors, and the interior door handles installed.

Got the drivers side inner fender bolted up, the relay panel, power steering fluid reservoir, and horns in. I also got the drivers doors power lock solenoids, rods, and front power window track in.

All his stuff won't be in the way for paint, so I am putting it back in. I have so much crap for the car I am losing track of it, so I am installing what I can as I find it. And, if I happen to scratch anything it is before the paint job.

Jim,

:worthless:

Lol
Just kidding man, but seriously! Let's see some of that eye candy!
