BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Btw....beautiful avatar pic you got there! Looks like it's gonna eat something with that kickass hood!😀
It should look pretty angry with the front end all together.

Slapped together a quick video from paint day.

Somewhere along the way I lost track of your build. You used to do updates over on MR.com too correct? It looks awesome! I'll have to go back a year or so and catch up on all the progress. Please tell me you have insurance on it. I'd hate to see something happen and it not be covered....

Looking good, Jim.
I also smoothed down the door handles and painted them body color. It gives it a more modern clean look...and looks better than the typical I-beam look.

I did, but that site is not mobile friendly so I haven't been updating.

And yes, it's insured!

I agree!

I spent a lot of hours with the 36" durablock running down the sides of the car. I was hell bent on getting it "flat" and strait, that's why I did everything with the car together. So the panels were strait from panel to panel.

I really appreciate all the comments, I plan on getting it to GM (Chevy) Nationals at Carlisle, it won't be 100% done, but done enough to drive and tune.

The paint has nice depth, and like Scott said, it's super straight. The reflections are nice and clear. Very nice. I wouldn't be surprised if the car makes it's way into a few magazines.
Did I say I love the color?
You certainly didn't cut corners. I know I have...😳
