Jack's right, the Buick Olds skins are smooth up that high, so I used a different gasket.

Mike,
The El Camino gaskets are unique compared to the other model gaskets. They have a sort of "V" cut into them to be able to straddle the upper bodyline.
I had a set of those mirrors, but non-power. I got the gaskets from a member of another forum who graciously gave them to me. I later sold the mirrors complete...I decided not to use them.

The mirrors look great, Jim.
You have them mounted on the right angle. I've seen guys mount them and they were crooked and looked like sh*t. They just don't take the time to make sure they're aligned properly.

Jack, I agree. I went though 3 sets, with gaskets, to get something that sits level and correct.

I appreciate the compliments gentleman. I won't be driving it for a few days, but next week I should be doing the headliner.

After a long weekend of running a skid steer clearing Japanese Barberry of of my land, I'm back to do some work.

I received my head liner material, adhesive and gun. Dug out the headliner board and I started to strip it and clean it up.

No quite done cleaning it up, that will be tonight. There are a few cracks, but they should be ok.

Especially on the long section of headliner, it couldn't hurt to have an extra pair of hands to help hold it up while you're preparing to lay it down on the glued surface.
I had my wife help me there. The rear section was a breeze and extra help wasn't needed.
