BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Thanks, I am really looking forward to getting it in the booth and getting color on it. This way over the winter I can do the interior, weatherstipping, trim, ect. It's getting done later then I planned, but I will be driving it in the spring!

Managed to re-blast the drivers fender, then do some minor body work on the inner, and get it in epoxy. I have to finish up the outside of the fender and get it in epoxy. I have a TON of sh*t to do so I am trying to squeeze whatever work I can in between.

Managed to get the F-body front sway bar blasted and painted with the industrial PPG red I have been using. Thanks to 06 dodge cr for hooking me up last year with this and the AC box. NOw to get some new bushings and brackets.

I also got some more body work done on the drivers fender. hopefully I can wrap that up over the weekend.

I went with Energy Suspension sway bar mount kits cause my local Oreilleys carries some in stock. For some reason these guys could not find the ones I needed. I got mad and went home, got on the computer, and went to Energys web site. Found the ones I needed with my digital caliper in hand. Hopefully your parts guys actually have car part experience. Lol

Hey jim sent you a text about them bush and brackets. I got some new onez I am not using. Nice a arms too! Lol. Pa guy buys pa parts! I gotta say I love the extras on them arms. Plus they cost a bit less then others but with more reinforcements.

I had ordered some energy suspension bushings when I was using the 1.25" F41 front bar. They are new never used, gonna have to stab them in the FS section since they are too small. I did find a part number and ordered a set for the front.

I did get that last text, but I have been super busy with a headgasket job, painting a bedroom in between breaks, and running the kids around. Ughh. I'll text ya back with my address!

Last week I did get some more bodywork done. I had to finish up the DS fender. It is in epoxy now. I started fixing the tailgate, I studwelded and shrank, and hammered and dollied all I could. I used a thin coat of Metal-to-Metal over the top where it was all waffled, I have some finishing to do and should be able to get that in epoxy also, the backside is already done and seam sealed. I also started on the header panel, filling the emblem holes and fixing all the huge gouges.

I am a complete slacker, I took no pics. I was using the phone for the Amazon music, Machine Head helps me work.

Jim,
You've been stretching yourself thin these days. I hope you're able to have some leisure time in between.

It was great talking to you over the weekend, my friend. Thanks for all your advice and wisdom. :friday:
