BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Jim,
I also have some extras. . I think between us we could dig up a complete set for you.

Quinn,
It's not the door bumpers he needs, it's the foam rubber cushions planted at the corner of the door and window frame, behind the top of the door panels.

Are either of these what you are describing? It's a bit dark right now, so the photos may not be useful.

Quinn, they would be under the top of the door panel. One or two of the ones I have have markings for L or R on them, but I don't know what doors. Ughh, sucks getting old.

I have extras for the rear doors that I kept off those sedan doors I had.
I'll throw them in with the rest of your care package...
I can take some pictures of where they go too if I remember.

That my friend would be awesome!

Thought about it some more and I should have a full set from when I parted out my Malibu wagon...
I'll dig em up for you...

Even AWESOMER!:friday:

Jack, that is great too! 😀

I never really organized my parts when I took the car apart, I pretty much know where everything goes. But these little foam rubber blocks are kicking my butt. I started last night going through all the coffee cans, boxes, etc, to get all the little clips, rubber bumpers, etc, all bagged and tagged so I can start getting them in the doors after paint.

Oh, and I finished up the LED lighting on the front bumper and mounted it back on.

I have now been on the hunt for trim clips. I have the clips for the top trim between the A,B, and C pillars. I also have the top inner windshield clips (new). I am pretty sure the rears over the quarter glass and the cargo opening are all gone and broke. So, I am now on the hunt to see what I can find. The car has been apart for a few years and all my crap is skewed about, so there is no telling if I have something.

Jim,
Let me find you the part #'s. That would help in the search.

Here's a link that was found awhile back http://www.car-pak.com/Fasteners/c22/p9869/79-5128/product_info.html These were for the moulding above the rear gate hatch.
I have the GM part # for them... #3074737

the part # for the quarter glass garnish mouldings....#3073629

Jack, thanks for those l links and those part numbers, I'll have to order some rear ones, and try to find the sides. They seem impossible. I may ha e to make of my own for those.

Jim,
I'm going to do a search for them again. I think I had found a source a while back. The ones that I've gotten, I was able to get from a dealer somewhere in the midwest. I think Scott and I cleaned them out...but they had maybe 8 of them, and I needed 6.

I remember now....a member suggested that I try these people. http://www.justclippsauto.com/
If I recall, they got back to me and told me that they had the clips I was looking for. #3073629
Most places that I've run across that had them were asking stupid money for them, probably knowing that they're hard to find. Give them try...see what happens.

I found one on Ebay. This guy is smoking crack. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5335822911&icep_item=331577821795

Here's a dealer that claims they have it http://allwayschevrolet.com/parts1/gm3.html You'd have to call them. I would try the justclipps people first.

This place also shows the part #, but they never got back to me when I e-mailed them. http://www.northlandfasteners.com/OEM/General Motors - OEM.htm

Jim,
Friesen Chevrolet has the rear window moulding clips.#3074737. He shows 11-of them. That's where I bought the other clips. I'd also ask him if he has the 1/4 window garnish moulding clips #3073629...but I think they're out of them. Those are the more difficult ones to find.

Jim,
I found another source for GM #3073629, the 1/4 window garnish moulding clips. The price seems reasonable too.

They also have GM #3074737 http://www.gmpartseast.com/parts/gm-3074737_clip.html

I would suggest getting them all from this place. Hopefully this will help you.

:bump: Gotta love the internet....:friday:

Jack, I drank a lot of beers for you last night, haha. :friday: I just ordered them from GM parts East, thank you sir! Super happy about that and thanks for all the leg work!

Now, for those following, I seem to be short a few things. After parting my brown Malibu wagon, and taking this BOP wagon apart, I seemed to have lost sh*t.:blam:

I need the power lock rod for the front doors, just one, how the hell did I lose just one?

I also need the trim above the quarter windows inside. I have a set, but there are holes drilled then, I guess that is why there is no clips.

I have 4 door lock solenoids, but the boots are all jacked so I may just order 4 new ones.

Glad I could help you, Jim...and glad you had a beer or two in my honor...:friday:
I enjoy tracking stuff down, almost as much as Scott does. He's got me beat though. 😛

The power lock rod...I'm sorry I can't help you there. I know what you mean about losing sh*t. As much as you try to tag and bag everything, there's always something that gets lost.

I don't think I have the 1/4 window trims, but I'm going to take a look...I might be surprised. 🙂
