81 caballero wiper issue

I have a 82 Royal Knight and windshield wipers wont work unless I open hood and wiggle the wires then they start working, I put a new motor on and it did the same thing so put my old motor back on, still won't work unless I jiggle wires on motor connection the one with the little diod in it, any help would be appriciated
