I did a little mind refreshing and its actually "dark jadestone metalic"

Same color as my '81 Buick wagon... 8)

I was going to change my pic once I got the new rims on the front, but I see what you see about it being depressing. Last winter lasted forever. I really hope its a warm fall. Been cold this entire summer.

At first I didnt like the color, but now that its shines, I really like it. Paint is garbage on the bumper covers though, probably because its a texas car. Its got a ton of little chips in it, and the stripe is all dirty and doesnt match. Looks like its getting reapainted in a few years, probably the same color.

Finally got my fronts in. I have 225/60's on the back and 215/60'a on the front. Both in a BFG traction TA. Rears were 75, fronts were 125 ish. $200 for brand new tires isnt bad. Had other stuff to spend that $125 on for the fronts but the ones that were on my 14's were shot. The 15" GTAs fit good, but the front right rim rubs the upper control arm. Nothing a grinder wont fix. Also got the cheepo radio that came halfway installed working. Front right speaker buzzes when the radio on, but they are garbage speakeres from 81. Not to much of a music person anyway. Also got the fan working. I didnt have high speed. Thats about all I can think of what I have been doing really.

I was wondering, since my "cutlass supreme" C pilar badges are all dirty and kinda look bad can I pull them off? Are they just glued on or something? They dont have a peg that goes into the body do they?

The badges behind the 1/4 glass are held on with double sided tape.

Piano wire or an old guitar string work well to take them off, and then clean off the remnants of the tape with some adhesive cleaner.

But beware...
Removing those emblems could reveal darker paint or even take the paint off, like the side mouldings can.

Once you have them off, go back to your buddy that buffed the car out for you and have him run over those little spots where the emblems were to take care of any marks you will inevitibly put on it cleaning it up.

That thing is looking pretty good! I don't think I can remember seeing another car in that color with the paint in good shape. It's a nice color too. It's subtle and does not shout it's intentions which is nice when you are trying to avoid read and blue lights in your mirror.I have a suggestion for you too: The Fire Chicken emblems in the center caps can come out if you push them from the rear. See if you can get a set of Oldsmobile Rocket center cap stickers, and replace the Fire Chickens with them. I did this to a set of 16x8 in GTA wheels for a Z-28 once, and it was a cool little detail. Also, if you are missing some of the centers, hunt around the junkyard and look at a variety of GM rear drivers. I think those centers were used on more than just Firebirds.

I like it with those wheels, and the colour looks nice.

Went to a salbage yard yesterday in the hope to get a rear sway bar and a quick ratio box as the one I got is redicilously loose and leaks some. Found a 79 calis, F41 suspention and a bucketed interior, but the guy wanted $600 for it. There isnt $600 of parts that I need off of it. Looks like I will have to wait a little longer to fing something under $400. There was a T top regal, 3 montes, one junk SS, a super nice GP that looks like it could be drove out, and a MC SS aero coupe for sale too. Man, what a time not to have $3000! Looked clean, little rust, engine was swaped for a corvete 302/6 spd or somthing then got swaped out for the origional 305 so its kinda a mess with a hole in the floor but otherwise it was nice!

The Aerocoupe was sort of the Dodge Daytona of the 80's and the GP 2+2 the Plymouth Superbird. It's a shame you can't afford it because it one day will be worth some decent money. My only gripe is that they should have installed the L98 in those cars. They were limited production enough to not negatively affect the CAFE rating.

Man, that AeroCoupe is clean!

What yard is that?
 hate to see that thing in the salvage yard.... 😢
looks good other than the rear floor pan...note the carpet falling through.
someone with some skills doing floorpan replacement could easily give that thing new life!

that dash'd look awfully good in the regal though!
