When I parted out the H/O my wife was against it until I sold the engine and other parts. Then she had her hand out.
If she was against it she shouldn't have got to enjoy the spoils

Should be picking up the Yukon Sunday. At dinner tonight my wife asked when I was going to clear her headlights like I promised.

Wife is happy her lights look good.
I’m set to drop my car off to have my buddy do some paintless dent removal on the Malibu Sunday. Then I’m supposed to be picking up the Yukon.

So I went Sunday to pick up the Yukon and it wouldn’t start. I made the kid an offer that me, and his friend thought was fair for a non running truck with a rotten frame and broken leaf spring mount. He seems to think I lowballed him, so no 350 for now. Oh well. I’ll see if he comes around after leaving it parked on the street for a bit and the town harasses him.
I got my plate filler from Mikes montes fitted tonight. I’ll probably paint it and the tail light fillers next week or so.

Went to a local yard today and looked at a blazer with a 350. Fired it up on ether and it sounded ok. I’m going to start pulling it tomorrow.
I also removed the one broken body mount bolt and added a temp spacer. I’m going to order a full set of bushings and hardware this week, don’t worry.

So I got an engine. I pulled it from a 96 2 door Blazer. I have to get it on a stand and tear into it a bit. It has a fuel pump block off plate so hopefully it’s drilled for a mechanical pump pushrod.
Since we’re slow at work I’m bringing my car to the shop to finish getting the header panel in dp. I have one more coat of filler to do on the emblem hole.

I got the header in epoxy today at work. Came home to my new bushings, but no hardware yet and my center caps. I’m still on the fence about them. I kind of like the wheels with exposed lug nuts. I was thinking of trying to come up with a center cap option to allow that.

Pic of the header and grill installed. Grill has been out for over a year so I’m happy to see it back. I have a long way to go before paint but I’m hoping to have the body in epoxy before winter. I’ll leave the fillers out until after the body bushings.
