You tried to help. Kudos to you for that. ID'ing these b*tches outside the package can sometimes be a real pain in the *ss.
Got the genuine gm cable in and that was it the cable is perfect and shifts through all the gears thank you 69hurstolds for the part number and link I will be picking up another one or two just to have on hand

Yes when I saw it in the gm bag I knew it had to be perfect and sure enough it was, it’s a dead on match. Can’t say the same on the aftermarket one. I even put the console back in and reassembled everything.
