ok guys i been working on a few projects for the el camino not gonna post pics of them till they are done. as far as the car im just waiting to get some insulation for my firewall so i can start puttng the car back together. motor and trans is the only thing thats holding me back but i have to get some more cash b4 i can do anything..lol

Lookin good fam. I got that console lid door and dash plaque for you. Its a go for me to shoot out your way next Saturday. Not sure if Im bringing the El tho. Got a few things I need to do. I can get it all done if I take her to a shop, but yall would kill me. HAHA!! Man with my lil dude being with me all day, and living in an apartment, it makes it hard to get on the cars ya dig... I think yall would give me a pass on the shop so I can bring the El out..I got suspension stuff, tires and brake job needing to be done. Whatchu say big dog?

well i look at it like this sometimes u just havre to take it to a shop to get things done regardless if u want to or not... so in my opinion u shud take it to get those things out the way if u want to roll it out here...Bumpin1ohmSS said:

Well..... Theres nothing wrong with taking the car to a shop if you are too busy to do something. I've done it and I take pride in doing things myself. (Except bodywork.)

ive been working on my elcamino off and on last few days heres a few pics of things ive done
started puttin the el camino back together i primered the header panel and painted the headlight bezels all black..
the color from my engine brackets almost matches the color oh my dash bezels..
painted the speaker grilles for my dash black my dash will be a different brown and black..
striped the dash of all parts getting ready to dye it as soon as i get the PAINT!
ive been working on my elcamino off and on last few days heres a few pics of things ive done

Lookin damn good bruh!! You movin quickly on thangs. I gotta get out there and see this clean assembly line work you doin before its all buttoned back up. My og dash project was cracked in the same spots. I was gonna glass it, but then went with a dash cover. Would have turned out sweet if I would have used the correct adhesive. Used 3m VHB (Very high bond) tape. sh*t stuck like crazy glue as soon as the cap met the dash. You need something with a "work time" to get the dash seated into place. or you can fill the cracks. You'd have to use a "textured" finish paint tho or the filled areas will be seen....
