84' Cutlass pro touring build

have you decided on a color for the car yet?
I've been going back and forth on paint. I have the idea of white with all the trim blacked out. Or maybe a grayish paint. Like Nardo gray with blacked out trim. Hard decisions

Lovin the progress, I remember when my chassis was all fresh and clean looking! It needs a good wipe down. The ICT coil brackets are slick and really clean up the engine, I'm glad I bought them too. I take it you're carbing yours?? I see the knock sensor valley plate has been changed.

Needs a wipe down for sure. Amazing how much dust shows on the frame. Ugggg
No carb. Fuel injection all the way. I'm not sure I'm going to run knock sensors yet but if I do I'll fit them to the sides of the block like the newer style.
Opinions welcome on that.
Also need some insight on running battery cable
Take a look at the pics. Is it feasible to route it over the frame as shown or should I drill a hole and use grommets in the rear crossmember tucking it against the inner side of the frame notch between that and the rear spring?

I placed some bushings on frame to get an idea of the clearance. I'm thinking hard about putting the starter solenoid in the trunk so battery cable is only hot when starting and I know I will need to run many additional wires to do this. Darn decisions.

nice.you've got time yet,no sense in committing to any particular color yet.
Tell me about it. I keep changing my mind. I have a whole bunch of time before I cross that road though. I'm always looking at pictures of the cars here and elsewhere giving me ideas. I'll find the picture of what I'm basing my ideas on and post it soon. I'm sure everyone here has seen the car I'm thinking about.

For the most part the battery cable routing looks good. If I were you I'd move it to the top side of the frame so that it's over the trans x member. Also, maybe run it to the inside of the coil spring pocket.
I can try to get pics of mine, I actually need to get a few more feet of cable since I moved the battery to the driver side of the trunk.

Also, in regards to color....I know it's your car and ultimately your decision, but my thought process was to pick a color scheme that is timeless. The newer colors that are high gloss with zero metallic will look dated in 5 years just like the pastel hotrods from the 80's. Obviously my opinion, but just trying to give my non expert advice.

I thought about routing it over the transmission crossmember but I have to run the fuel lines somewhere also.
If you can snap some pictures I'd appreciate it. I'm kinda stuck right now

No problem giving me ideas. I understand what you mean and I just have to pick what I like deep down inside or I'll be kicking myself in the azz later. long time before I pluck down the money for the paint
