Got the column in. Still needs adjusted and cut to fit. I can do that once I get my Kirkey seat and brackets. I can set it up for my perfect driving position. I will have to buy one of those universal turn signals that can mount to the column also.

Not much activity lately. Still waiting on a guy up north to pull this 4L80e out of the van he is parting out. He recommended I never part one out without a lift. That and the weather is not on my side. I'm going to go with the Jake's performance manual control box, D1 transbrake, and their stage 2 rebuild kit. I could have used my year end bonus on that but had to pay for an engagement ring. What a waste. Haha. Got a cowl hood so I'm set as far as body parts go. Looking to get some Comp valve locks and an Ati super damper to go on the engine to wrap it up. The list of parts to get is still long but once I have the trans I will have all the big stuff, well minus the wheels and tires.

Craigslist gold! Hughes Performance 4L80e with 300 miles. Guy I bought it off of said it made 3 passes and a little street time in his 98 turbo camaro before he wanted a transbrake so he bought another trans. I will upgrade this one with a Jake's D1 transbrake before I install it in the car, and see if it really has 300 miles. Fluid didn't smell burnt, input and output shafts look good, and I got it for a great price.

Had a rain day from work so I decided to weld in the hr parts n stuff lca braces I had sitting around. Got one in and ran out of wire on the second. Go figure. Took the barb fittings out of the transmission and put in new AN fittings. Looked over the wiring situation and trying to decide what to do. The lights worked fine so I didn't want to mess with them. I will do some research the rest of the day and try to resist spending money for the time being.

Getting the front suspension put together finally. I will have to do some stuff around the house then jump back in the garage tonite and get the other side in. Almost a roller again.

Got everything tightened down on the front suspension except the outer tie rods. Going to try to get a half-*ss alignment going until I get some wheels on it. Still have to get some blazer calipers. I just stuck the rotors on to see how they looked. Ordered Comp Cams valve locks, the last internal engine pieces I need. I am also looking to get a fuel cell so I can start plumbing the fuel system.

Won the fuel cell I was bidding on auctioned on ebay. It's an Rci with a 2" sump. It should be in this week, so I can put it in the trunk and cut the hole for the sump. Valve locks came in, I will have to get them and a few gaskets to my uncle's shop. No updates on the engine build yet.
Finally got the quick disconnect for the steering bolted down, and was not happy with the jeep steering shaft. To much play for my liking at the upper insulated u-joint. Put a Borgeson u-joint on my Summit wish list to replace that one.
Also nailed down my choice in wiring. I will order an EZ Wiring harness once work picks back up. My stock harness is rather ratty looking and a little hacked. The price is pretty reasonable. I got a 25% off coupon from Painless but that still isn't close enough compared to the EZ.

The fuel cell came. I still have to order the mounts and I can start measuring hose lengths and do my routing.
Starting to rethink the whole transbrake thing for the moment. I think I am going to run the trans as is with a Jake's manual control box, foot braking at the track, then down the line when I upgrade the engine install the transbrake while its apart at that time. Just thinking the money could be better spent elsewhere to get this thing going.
