So i traded of my rust bucket camaro for a mud truck to give my buddy for his monte carlo ls project. I got the first load of parts and the car today.

He had started converting it to an ss but i am going to put the ls front end and fender back on. It needs a windshield , grill and interior but i hope to take the ss parts and sell or trade off for what i need eventually.

It comes with a 355 sbc, headers, flowmaster dual exhaust . I had a th350 already and i have a 3.42 rear end already sitting here.

Probably not going to be able to start until after the holidays but it will be a good project i hope

Had some free time today and got the drivers fender and the nose and bumper assembly changed over. Had to make a trip to the hardware store as only about half the bolts were present.
Need to do some bumper height adjustment still. And The passenger door is so far out of adjustment that it wont open without mangling the fender.

No plan yet.
i have a maroon lower back seat snd a maroon dash thats cracked up horribly and rear side panel. Not enough parts to make me stick with anything.

Ive thought about finding newer interior front and back seat and retrofit it in and build from that.

Have seen a few do that, looks pretty good depending on what you go with. Have seen some strange choices of interiors retrofitted, but have to respect the work that goes into that. I only went with a fifth gen camaro center console, looking back I should have tried for the seats as well and just reupholstered them. Mine was slightly more put together when I got it but had a lot of the parts there to use, I decided to repaint and put back for the most part what was there.

So i got my new tires and wheels 235/60r 15, got the rearend swapped to a 3.42 rearend with all new brake hardware, new flex brake hose, and some used drilled and slotted front rotors (did cleanup well) and new brake pads. On the inside i got nuts put on the brake booster and the brake pedal installed. Gravity bled for now.

Windshield should be in this week at the glass shop hopefully, and i have a lead on blue monte bucket seats.

My friend that had the rotors gave me jegs doublehump crossmember and a couple of different sets headers.

New Windshield is in. The Windshield was gone in this car when i got so i need to get clips for the chrome. This car had a few rusted out metal clips and broken plastic clips in the cowl. Does anyone know which spots get metal clips and which spots get plastic. The kits i found had 4 metal and 12 plastic.

I also got seats out of an ss that are faded but not to bad of shape. The floor was so bad that the nuts where rusted domes so i took a sawzall and cut the floor out to get the front seats. Brought it home and cut the floor off slowly to save the tracks. After some grease and working the tracks back and forth they freed up.. surprisingly the back came out no problem. The seat belt bolts buzzed right out. Going back soon to get the plastic trim and dash/cluster
