See warrenn looking at your progress gonna make me cut play time with the kids later to get back to SOMETHING on this car while i'm waiting for finishing engine parts to come in. Thinking about putting a posi carrier in my 7.5..got the granny gear in there now that came stock. With only 40K on the car do you think the stock 7.5 will be good to put a posi carrier and 3.73s in?

Thanks!! Sorry for the confusion. I ordered a 7.5 girdle to replace the stock one. The girdle in the pics is for my 8.5 Grand Nat rear (which Im swapping for an LPW girdle)

HAHA!Thanks for checkin back. If you can get a posi unit for a nice price, I say do it. There's shops out in LA (ACE) that will drop a posi and gears in (used) for around $150-200. I think Saint had this done on his Elco...

Got a lil further. Mocked the parts up right quick before work. Prob all on backwards, but it was just placed on for a quick pic..

Hahaha!!!! Well thank you very much Dave lolil! It's turning out cool (for a home grown jobber) ;-) I just pressed the wheel studs in here at work. Man! The axles look sexy as f!ck!! Lol! I just told Mel that something must be wrong with me cuz axles, suspension parts, and basically anything "mechanical" on my ride gets me excited while candy paint and wheels get other dudes goin. Lol I'm "bass ackwards" lol. Can't wait to get off and work on the els center console..

  Man that looks good! can't wait to see it in person. It's those little details that make the BIG difference.

I'm kinda new here so I was checkin' out new posts. Saw the last page of yours and I had to go back and go through all 67 pages. Your attention to detail is stunning! And I like how you ain't afraid of nuthin'! Just jump in and do it! Makes me wanna go work on my car. Now that I'm caught up maybe I can keep up. I had to take notes there's so much good info here. Keep on!
