Thanks O!!! Ill take em. Just finished polishing up the Booster and Master cylinder. Thats some good *ss chrome on there cuz all that grime and surface rust came right off! The march setup will need some professional help. I cleaned em up, but the scuffs and lil stuff need a pro touch. Preciate that love on the price too bruh! Thats wassup! Big Siant..With a 350 trans, I thinkyou better stick with 3.73's or maybe a different set. It will be murder for you on the freeway with anything above 3.73. I think those gears are more suited for trans with OD. I have a link that fully explains it and I'll try to find it for you. But I tell you this...With those 3.73's and posi, that 305 will feel like its launching nice! TTop did 456 gears in his 2004r and it had a nice take off, but winded out big time on the freeway.

I was i that horizontal position (sleepin in) all day from the road trip after work. I'll be on it first thing in the morning. My girl is relaxing and I dont wanna bother her with the compressor firing up. LOL!

What trans do you have fam? 2004r or a 350 or 400 trans? Dont know if you read Reazon's post about 22's and 3.73's on a 350 trans. My boy did 373's on his 350 and couldnt stand the drive. Also make sure you are getting gears to fit your 7.5 rear(if thats what you have) What ever it is, make sure you are getting the correct gears. The set Pollo has is for a 8.5. I dont think they will work on a 7.5. I wish they did cuz the 373's in my Gnat rear would get dropped in my 7.5. Do a lil research on what you have before sinking the loot into it. Ive seen this so many times. Peeps get excited about the parts and end up getting the wrong stuff. Then those parts end up in the classifieds for less. A lil googling and researching will save a ton of headaches. Im new to this just like you bruh. I'll try to help as much as possible, Sucks you wont be able to make it. But make that loot fam!!

Ya i have 350 trans with 7.5 rear...what if i go with 3.42 gears??? i wonder if that will do the job...all i want is to burn rubber with both tires....lol...thanks for the info family....let me know whats good..

I agree with 84elko. Don't go higher than 373s with a 350 and no overdrive. You wont be able to go fast on the freeway. Big Saint. There is a good spot in Paramount that does nothing but rear ends. It's called the Gearshop on Paramount Blvd. You can build your 7.5 really nice with a new posi unit gears and new axles. It's gonna cost you at a minimum 800-1000. Or you can look for the parts used and take a chance to save some money. my gears are for an 8.5 rear but i'll ask my boy because he has a grip of parts at his shop just sitting there. I'm gonna be posting up a list of all the parts I have for sale this week. I'll give you guys first dibs on all of it. Warren got the gears already but ill post more stuff.

Fo show...Yea pollo if you can get some 3.42 gears for a good price used...that would work out...But wait do I need a posi unit too...i think the 7.5 rear ends have a 2 series case...do the 3.42 gears need a differnet case..like a 3 series case>>> so confused when it comes to GEARS!!!!...theres a guy on craigslist selling 3.73 gears in my hood South Gate for 60 bucks used..But since you guy think that 3.73 gears will kill me on the freeway, i want to take all your guys advice..Or should I come up on them????.thanks for tha info 84elko...let me know family...

Your is peg leg right now and that is why it only burns rubber with one tire. Mine is the same way. In order for it to spin both wheels you need a posi unit. That comes first. Then the gears are just so your car launches harder. I have stock 308 gears in mine and I'm sure that I had posi with them i can spin both. Now about the 373s. My boy has them on his car with a 7.5 rear and when we are on the freeway he wont put his car over 65-70 and that's pushing it. The RPM's are high and it's not fun for highway cruising. i would say 342s for you. It all depends on how much you gonna drive it. I was gonna go a lil extreme and put 410s on my 8.5 but that would have killed my highway use with a 350 transmission. Stick to the lower ones i would say.

ok kool, So do you think I should stay with my stock gears and just get a posi unit? or the hole package>>lol... its only going to be a weekend ride, to get out and show it off and have fun...dont think i will be doing much freeway miles either...

in that case 373s all the way. nah. 342s cse you never know. you'll like it. wait til you see my boy Godson's car and ride with him. No Joke. Those 342 with an Eaton posi are good stuff. Those are the original gears the GNAT rears came with. Atleast that's what I've heard from a lot of people.

Thanks for postin up fellas and schoolin us newbs on this stuff. As I said before, ive seen so many bro's get excited and drop serious loot on stuff only to find out its the wrong thing. We've all been there. LOL! Man I kicked it the whole weekend. Didnt get much done on the Elco. I just installed my Brake booster in the SS. I got lazy. LOL! I still need a grease gun and grease anyway. Harbor Freight here I come!(well after I get outta lazy mode) 😛
