Well I got everything cleaned up and painted. Only thing holding me up is I cant find my lowwer ball joint dust boot covers. I bet I left em up at work when I pressed the old set out and pressed the new set in. I found a nice set from Energy, but it will take 5-7 biz days to get em! Im trying to get it all done this weekend. At this point any dust boot will be cool. I cant find any spots that has em. I hate to get a new set of ball joints just to get the boots. But I may have to. It will work out cuz I can use the bootless set on the lowers that are coming out the elco. Then I can get the Energy bushing pressed in and use a nice set of Energy dust boots on the Malibu setup. Hmmm. That might just work..And I got $40 in Autozone credit. 😀

The stash..

Got some t shirts and some other lil stuff. Gettin geared up for the Dec 5th Pomona swap meet. Cant wait! I think i'll just order a set of lower moog ball joints and use those boots. When the lowers come out the Elco, I'll order a set of Energy Red boots and press the lower arm Energy red bushings in. I gotta get this done this weekend. LOL!

I bet we saw each other up there. I always want to take my 4 year old with me, but I know what will happen. LOL! Damn! We are all on the hunt for the same parts. HAHA! Im lookin for a grand national rear as well. Gotta have it. I know I wont find a deal like I did on the one I have in my SS tho'. I could just build the 7.5 up a little since the El isnt for racing and all that. Just a daily driver that'll have a lil get up and gusto!

Thanks for checkin back fellas 😀

Warren, for the money you gonna spend on a GNAT rear end you can build up that stock 7.5 with a good posi unit, gears and axles and still be able to handle 450HP or more. For a daily driver that's more than enough. Unless you wanna take the GNAT of the SS and put a Ford 9" on that one. That's another option. At the end of the day its still gonna cost you $$. Good luck Fam. I'll see you there on the 5th. We'll hook up. Ill tell Big L and Godson to come out with me.

Yessir!!! The 9" will be for "Tha Alibu" . Ive been researchin some Moeser axles and a posi unit and gears for the 7.5 and throw a TA rear girdle on it. Like you said..In the end its loot. Even if I go with a G Nat rear, I still gotta go thru it all. I lucked out on the rear I have in the SS. All new parts. The S and El will just be for cruisin. The Bu will be for head huntin. Chris is on the hunt for a clean one for me. Imma leave it in Arizona so I can have somethin to work on when I go out there..Can wait til the 5th fam. The last one was my first time. We got there at 5am and stayed till 2pm! I was goin crazy. LOL!

Imma get on it When I wake up saturday morning. Fire the old compressor up and get crakin. Cant Wait!!! I'll be shooting vids for my utube page also. Next up is a rebuild of my 7.5 rear end. Now before peeps start in with the "why not get a blah, blah, blah ....rearend?" stuff...This car isnt for track or racing. Daily driving. Even if I got a G Nat rear I'd still have to go thru it all. More loot. I can build this 7.5 up and it will handle the lil HP my new 350 will put out. New axles, gears and posi and a fresh TA performance rear girdle should do the trick...(Thanks Pollo! )Wish me luck!!!!

This aint shiz compared to all the stuff done on the SS. I gotta have it ridin right cuz its the daily driver. Shouldnt take too long to do since I know how to get it crackin and all the lil tricks. Air tools make a huuuge difference and save a gang of time. Once those old parts come out the Elco, they will get the same treatment--Cleaned up, painted and Energy bushings and new ball joints pressed in. Then they will go on the shelf for future projects..(Malibu  ) I'll be doin the rear end up next. But I'll have to bring the homie TTop Tony to assist. ive taken out and installed a rear. Ive never installed gears and stuff. There's gear lash issues to deal with. Tony did his and got it down. Pomona will have em all day I bet. Im installing some Moeser axles, Eaton posi and 3.73's once the cashflow is right. Cant wait to get this done so I cane drop my sounds in bruh- Full dynomat, 300 amp alt, dual batteries, Single JL 13w7 vented, Epic 160, infinity components--The works bruh. But before all that, the El has to be ridin and running and gunnin right. Im sittin in the Roc Shop now. Cant Wait til saturday morning. Im like a kid on Christmas eve. Im snatchin a Tuff Stuff brake booster and master cyl chromed out setup and a March pulley setup for the SS. Picking that up right after work from one of the homies. Be on the lookout for pics in my SS thread.....

with all your doing that car is gonna ride right indeed.

Thanks for checkin back bruh! I hope so. Im thinking the last thing I would need to do is body bushings and the rear upper/lower trailing arms. Shocks are brand spankin new. Moroe's up front and Napa air out back. Only thing I wont like is with all the parts, it will probably sit higher now. LOL! I liked how low she sat on the deuces. Maybe I'll do some lowering springs later down the road....Tonight cant go by fast enough! Hittin LA to pick up some parts after work and then gettin a few hours of shut eye. Gettin up at 10am and startin in on her. Cant wait..I'll update the thread and I might start a new thread showing how I did it all for the "new to wrenchin" guys like myself.
