Got the frame cleaned and have rolled on the first light coat of "Chasis Saver". Now before peeps get all into the Por-15 is better or this or thats better, Im not really worried bout it. Im in cali so there's no ice or salt to really worry about. I used it on my SS and loved the results. I could have just sprayed some rustolium, but I wanted to roll it on. Here's what I got so far..

Picked up a set of upper/lower rear trailing arms. $180. Not to bad. I wanted the C3Fab hookupbut I was broke. These will have to work. No provisions for a rear swaybar. Its cool cuz Im running the Spohn rear sway.. The rear will get the same Chasis saver trearment to freshen things up a bit...

Gonna have to use a torch on the passenger side spindle. Its been cleaned up and soaked in "Kroil", wd-40 and liquid wrench. If it doesnt pop off in the morning its torch time. The air hammer pickle fork couldnt even break it loose. I'll lay the second coat of Chasis saver down also. Then I can get it all back to gether and aligned. Wish me luck!!

Had to clean up the shop. I was trippin and fallen from rags, boxes, paper, parts! LOL! 2 hours later I knocked a dent in it and started back on the El. Rolled the 2nd coat of Chasis saver and Im happy with the results. Installed the new idler arm, center link and tierods also. Cleaned the driver side brake and primered and painted it a nice aluminum color. Came out decent for a homegrown job...

Cleaned up and primered...

When I get off in the morn Im gonna pump the fittings with grease. When I get up I'll tackle the passenger side spindle again. Or I could soak it some more and work on getting the spring, spindle and brake together on the drivers side..Slowly gettin parts together for the new 350 also: Powerhouse mini starter, headers, dizzy, trans mount, motor mounts and other lil stuff to get things goin. I didnt get a chance to get up to harbor freight for the torch. That passenger side spindle is a biatch! lol. Gettin there slowly but surely. Thanks for lookin...

Looking clean Warren, hey I have a Question, when you took off your caliper did u push those pistons in to get out all the brake fluid? do they get pushed in all the way in, or do they just come like that, When I took mine off it looked pushed in already, this is my first time changing brake...lol yes i know i need to bleed them...hahahaha...i put them back on like that and had good clearence...just wondering? let me know?

thanks

When I took em out, (after taking the old pads out) I pressed the calipers in with a "C" clamp-and it stayed in place. I had to do that cuz i wouldnt be able to get the caliper over the rotor with the new pads. After i reinstall em, I'll bleed em. Thats all I did on the SS. Im a newb to this as well bruh. Thats why its taking so long to finish this up. Im taking my time and learning as I go along. Thanks for checking back on the thread fam. I really appreciate it..

Thanks for the reply...yeah i tried that to but it look like the piston in the caliper was puched back already...when i do the other side rotor job i will check out the caliper first to see whats up...thanks brah!!! Keep up good work!!!

lookin damn good bro!!man im catchin the bug(my shoulders shakin) lol

HAHA!! Thanks fam!! Yeah you done caught it. No cure for it either!! Still havin a helluva tim on the passenger side spindle. Mel said not to use the orange mallet and to get a heavy *ss hammer. I'll use the air pickle fork to drive it in as far as possible, then beat the hell outta it with the hammer. Ive soaked it pretty good for the las couple days with wd-40 and liquid wrench. Imma install the driver side spring, spindle, rotor pads and caliper today. I'll tackle the passengers side Friday...

Warren looking good. your getting there quickly.

Thanks bruh!! I need to finish this up this week. Ive been driving my girls VW Beetle and the homies have been teasin' me. LOL!

Bout to head out to the garage and take a wack at the passengers side spindle. Ive let it soak for a few days and I picked up a pretty heavy hammer. Wish me luck. Imma use the air pickle fork to drive the fork in as far as it can get it. Then I'll finish it off with the big hammer. If that doesnt do the trick then its torch time

Grabbed these Flotek headers for the new 350 thats coming. Ive been eyeballin a crate setup from Yearone. My 42'nd bday in tomorrow (12/19) and I'll be callin M&M Speed up for a x member for my 2004r and a Dakota digi panel. (YESSIR!) IIm goin to start a "rebuild" thread for the El's motor swap. Here's a couple pics of the headers...

Thanks razor376 !
