Thats wassup! Thanks for checkin back fam! Couple updates.
Got some of the other round stock cut at work and I also cut the axles so I could get the ends off to weld up to the tubing. There's a few ways I could have done this, but it took 3 minutes to cut the axles. I used a "chop saw". Made light work of the axles.. I have a 10x10 base plate, but Im changing it to a 12x12-1/4" thick plate. The 10x10 didnt fully cover the 3 high ridges of the corrogated flooring of the elco's bed. I will have 6 studs drilled and tapped to secure the base and tubing to the floor. The studs will have a fine thread on one side (threads into the 1/4" thick base plate) and the other side will have a coarse threading for securing the whole assy to the beds flooring. Hope Im not loosing you guys. Its the same way the wheel studs are mounted to the axle ends. I will also weld both sides of the studs for a lil more strength. Then grind the top side down a lil and have the whole thing powder coated or chromed. I still need to go get the studs.... Here's a few pics of the tubing and axle end cut. Just mocked up for now. Once I get the other base plate and studs, I can have it all finished up... Workin on Mel's Brown Sug 2.0 wheel wells, so this will have to wait till the end of the week..
Cut off the end of the axle. Has the threaded studs and bolt pattern already. Makes it easy. I was gonna mount a front rotor, x drilled and the chrome it all, but I will save that for my other mount project  (gotta trick up my sleeve)
I had the square tubing, but I like the look of the round stock. The axle end fits nicely in there..
