Thanks for checking the thread out! Yep.. The old guy has been thru a lot over the years. As I learn more and more from you guys here on the forums, I dig deeper into it. I was looking thru some threads and it hit me, everything's off the car! Mel and Chris said man just pull it off the frame. And now it's happening. Lol! Glad I did too cuz I see so much was messed up by the last shop that worked on him. Just when I think I've seen the last of that shops shoddy work, I go a lil harder on the S and find new stuff. Thanks for the comment. 😀 Keeps me motivated to learn more and keep chipping away at him..

THANKS!!! Thats what you guys do for me.... Keep me motivated to work on the rides. Working nights and doing two cars at the same time is murder!! But I look at what you guys are doing and it keeps me pushing to get em done. It's funny with the vids cuz I originally started posting vids for my bro's to see I was doing the work on the cars now. It started after I got the car back from the last shop. After seeing the bs work done, I grabbed a wrench and my camera and started in on it. Lol! Then I moved into a new spot with a decent garage and things really got crazy. Lol.thanks for checking back and watching 😀

I soaked all the bolts down with liquid wrench for the past week. Bolts came out with ease!! Not a single probbo and all of em look good enough to re-use. I'm gonna get new hardware tho. Rainbow bolt is close to me so I'll just swing by with an old bolt and size up some new ones. I'm gonna do a silver/black hammer tone finish after a few mods are done to the frame. Nothing major as this lil SS is really just a cruiser. I may box a few areas in here and there is all. No real pics. Just doin boring stuff right now. Lil clean up and removing stuff...

Total of 12 bolts were removed. I think I got em all. Just need to get the 4x4 wood blocks and 4 more jacks and I'm good to go...

Thanks for checking back. 😀

Thanks bruh!!! The old guy is on jack stands waiting for help to pull the frame. Ill tackle anything by myself, but figured I wait for a more experienced wrencher on that job. I'm working on the wire job that old shop hacked up and installing the quicksilver floor shifter correctly-another shop eff up! Lol. Also, ill be smoothing the fire wall. That's something I've talked about for over 8 years now so now it's time to get it going. I picked up a 78 Malibu and have been goin hard on cleaning up the parts and getting things up to my standards. That's why no real updates in here. Man I appreciate the love. Motivates the hell outta me to get things goin. The bu will be my daily driver so all my efforts are on that right now. I do work on the SS a Lil here and there. The Malibu came with a 400 small block and ill be building that for the SS til I can afford a big block for it. Ill be working on the floor shifter install tomorrow and will get some updated pics. Thanks again bro!

MAN!! Flickr killed me! LOL! I'll be going back thru all the pages and re inserting the pics. Threads with broken pic links suck! LOL! Her's a few quick pics of where the #OGIK SS is since my last update waaaaaaaaay back. Headed to work no, but I will start fixing the old post when I get off in the morning..

The frame will eventually be pulled, notched. I just wanted to clean the front up cuz I was tired of looking at a mess when the garage door opened. I eventually did a garage overhall(paint, lighting ect) and wanted the SS to look like it was showcasing some suspension parts..

Rustolium "Sandable Primer". After the car gets painted, I'll wet sand this to 1500 and then use the VHT Roll bar and chassis paint in Satin. Should look clean..

Mocked up a few cleaned up parts. This setup is actually for the Elco.. The SS will have some C6zo6 calipers with 14" rotors

Back to updating my SS thread. Took a lil break from the frame to work on my 78 Malibu's LQ4 motor. Thats really starting to pick up speed. Few pics of the SS frame progress. I cant weld for crap and my guy that comes thru to do it is like AHHH STOP!! hahaha! Now that I have the Eastwood Mig 2250, once I get a tank things will be better lol.
