If you have fuel in the tank and you don't have any fuel leaks I would look at the fuel pump first

pontiacgp is right, fuel pump is the most common, but you didn't give us alot of info to go off of...

did this happen all at once, or has the car been sitting up for awhile and you're trying to get it back up and running? if it was running before this problem, how did it run? good and strong/piss poor and weak?

if it's sat for a good while, may be trash in the tank clogging up the strainer, or made it's way up to the filter (I'd change that too, cheap enough).if you drop the pump, I'd recomment maybe running a small amount of compressed air (low pressure!) to make sure there's no blockage in the line.

try these, worse case scenario is that you may have a needle valve in the carb sticking, and not letting fuel in...

HTH, and be sure to let us know what you find!
