Just an FYI, once you upload all of the pics for your post you can click insert multiple, then click select all and either do thumb nails in the post or the full image so that they are in the post

Your engine build disagrees completely with budget. Especially for a carbed N/A build...

I don't understand what's happening now.
View attachment 190868I did say budget however that does not necessarily mean low budget, everyone has a different budget. To some it might seem like a big budget and to others a low budget. I have worked and saved for this a long time and have a low to moderate budget. At the end of the day I just want a nice car I can take my wife and kids out in and have some fun. I enjoy meeting and talking to new people along the way. The picture with carb is it on the run stand getting some run time.

It's nice seeing the cool things being done to everyone's cars. The thing I like most is the ingenuity to custom something and the tools made to make it happen. Nice use of the engine stands. Clever.
Everything is looking sharp.
Thx, more to come with the engine stands.

This build started in 12/20 and I did not have a rolling chassis until 5/21. I was luckily able to spend alot of time with my chassis getting it to that point. It cost alot more than I initially thought but was very fun researching different aspects, forming a plan and accomplishing tasks at hand. I need to say thanks to this forum. Without it and threads like "Juggernaut" and others like it, I would've been lost. It provides detailed information and pictures that are hard to find and guide you along your build. I can't think of a part that I researched and did not end up at this forum. From big to small it covers it all, Also provided me with inspiration to start and continue working on my Gbody.
I am building this car for the street and occasionally the strip but would lean towards a Pro touring build. I appreciate comments good or bad.
but just wanted to say Thanks.

After alot of consideration I decided to go with the 4l80e for the trans. It was going to see alot of street use and OD was going to be really helpful. It proved challenging to get 4l80e as I was searching CL and Marketplace for a few months to find good core. I found a few used ones but you never really know what you are getting and for around $500- $600 I wasn't prepared for that gamble and I knew I was going to rebuild to suit my needs. I finally found one for $150, even came in a plastic case. The shop that was building trans for me was scheduling for 8 weeks out and the converter was 6 weeks out. So I finally picked up trans and it looked great. 20211009_084626.jpgHad banjo bolts and fittings to assist with trans line clearance. 20211009_084651.jpg20211009_084639.jpg
I had it built for 700hp and it has a FTI 9 1/2" lockup converter with 3200rpm stall.

Lucky find for so cheap, if you don't mind me asking what did the total end up on the rebuild? Looking to put a 4L80 into my Blazer to take the power I'm gonna be putting into the 5.3

It was $3500 for the rebuild. It has a 12mo/12,000 mile warranty that starts when I start using it. After I get it driving he wants to be the go for a ride to insure everything is working properly. It's nice when people actually care about their work.
Here is a part list. I don't know alot about transmissions.20220126_113841.jpg

I hope you like that “Street Racer” torque converter. Sounds like an El cheapo unit that will be loose and drive like crap…. Sorry to be a pessimist but you get what you pay for.
