Another point is check the hood spear. '70 is thin, '71 has a round stand up ornament saying Chevrolet, '72 is wide with "MC" on the front. Kinda hard to see it in the pic.

That 82 was slick. Too bad about it's fate. Same thing happened to my Mom's 87 Brougham the week after she sold it to a neighbor. Head on crash left very little of it.

Thanks man. She was hit by an 18 - wheeler. Most of the damage was to the passenger front quater. We was very lucky. I did get every dime I put into it back though.

Cleaning up the Salon a bit. My nephew is pretty rough on cars. Lots of minor work to put in, to get it back to it's glory.

Ok I need suggestions on how to open this hood. Someone installed a cable too long, so it doesn't engage properly. I took a pic of what it looks like under the hood. The spring has bypassed the area it should rest on.
