88 Monte badging question

Does anyone know if the Monte Carlo keyhole crest from the 71/72 years will fit over the keyhole on an 88? I was thinking of ordering the badge but I wanted to make sure.

Nope, too big & the contour of the sheet metal won't match up.

As I recall, the first-gen Monte decklid is convex at the lock cylinder hole, and the G body is flattish?

Plus, the year on the helmet will be wrong

It's like a reverse convex. As you come down from the top it curves out.
