I watched the plane hit the second tower live on TV at a crappy little hotel in a northern town in Canada that I was in for work. Our job was cancelled that day, dont even know why. I spent 4 hours driving home listening to the news coverage. It was 8 months after I turned down a position in the Canadian army to chase a career in the oilfield. Spent a long time after wondering if I made the right decision, and how my life would have been different.
