If I knew who "him" was I'd had sent a PM and wouldn't even have made a post.

Trust me, I have no problem with the topic of this thread. It happened here so I'm addressing it. That's it.

So with that being said when you see a problem it's good to have a solution also, whomever it was can read my post right here and above, and send me a message. Then take out my posts. Sounds like a good idea. 🙂

yeah that'd be me. and I'm pretty sure I don't have to explain why. Every fr4&kin time someone tries to be just idk patriotic in the general non-denominational sense, we get this stuff. stop it.

Sorry, didn't know how your view was, it shows me that it was GP403...

Sadly, I expected this.

Seems every time something of this nature comes up, people can't just stay on topic.

There are, I'm sure, dozens/hundreds? of sites that will hash every aspect of any incident over ad infintum. I come here for G body stuff, but understand that we are humans, and there's nothing wrong with that, or having compassion....BUT IMO, there's no need for the politcs that invariably come along.

It was and is a tragic event, and out of respect for those who died, were injured, survived, or were in any way impacted, I truly feel sad. My heartfelt thanks go out to all who served in any capacity.

I have this picture in my phone. It reminds me of the innocent lives lost and the heroes who went to save them. This should be shown more often as America is forgetting this happened. The attack on Pearl Harbor will be remembered forever and this should be too.
I was working SE of Pittsburgh with Dishnetwork. After fixing the customer’s TV, I turned it on and thought it was a movie but realized I was on a news channel. As I flipped the channels, it was on every channel. I went to a phone booth and called the house to tell the wife to turn on the TV but she was already watching.
We thank all those heroes who were there and who served for the many years to follow and pray for those who have lost their lives as a result of this tragedy.

That's the part that bothers me more than the fact of the whole thing even happening, is the fact of how much it's now over-looked and not even cared to look on. Like Bonnewagon had mentioned a while back he is in NY and barely anyone flying an American Flag on his street. Sad state society has become.

By no means will I make this political because I think they are all crooks, but to be fair its hard to fly an American flag when we have such trash running it. But we should absolutely find a way to support the hard working men and women who do the heroic stuff

I know exactly what you mean; I do something similar each year, to varying extent. Each year, around the anniversary I watch the coverage again. I watch the footage of the planes hitting. I listen to Kevin Cosgrove's call from the South Tower, where moments before you hear him scream as the building begins to collapse, he tells the 911 operator that "They are young men not ready to die". I listen to the story and the recordings of FDNY Battalion Chief Orio Palmer who ascended, on foot, to the 77th floor of the South Tower. I listen to the calls and the messages left on loved ones' answering machines and cell phones from inside the towers. I read about Welles Crowther, the man in the red bandana, who worked in the South Tower and saved many by identifying a safe route down and out and lead others to safety. He did this over and over, returning to the impact zone multiple times, each time helping to free and save others, until the tower fell. I completely acknowledge that for some, consuming all of that media and hearing/seeing the horror, might be a bit much, candidly, it is a bit much for me at times. But, that is how I choose to honor the promise we made as a nation to Never Forget.
