92 Corvette LT1 and 6speed trans

Think I'll sell the Corvette and bite the bullet and 6.0 Ls it. Thanks for the info on it. It helped a lot in my decision.

Yes my Malibu has a automatic transmission

Not sure what automatic transmission you have or whether you want to keep it. But 92-93 Corvette and 93 F body still had the old non electronic 700r4. Newer models used the 4L60E as did the LS powered 98-02 F bodies and many 1/2 ton trucks up to about 2008.
I would not let that be a deciding factor. You will have to change and buy a lot more items to LS swap it........mounts, oil pan and you will still have wiring to do.

The LT1's take boost just as well as the LS engines. ! 😳

Hmm. that's contradictory to all the data that's out there. LT1 pistons in stock form can't handle boost like an LS1. Read about the failures below. Just one source.

Yeah, I'm pretty much a gearhead, and I can't recall ever seeing a boosted LT. I ain't saying it's unpossible, just never seen one.

Go on the Impala SS forums. It seems there are a lot more turbo and supercharged Impala (and other B bodies) then LT1 Fbodies. Piston wise they were hypereuctectic pistons just like the LS and newer LT engines use. No difference in durability if the tune is correct........and trust me guys break and melt stock pistons all the time.
