94 Blazer 2dr 5.3 Twin Turbo (Tyclone)

Felt very accomplished after Saturday's work, my buddy Chris really got a lot done. I piddled about with the sound deadening and front lights so that I can get them fully wired up. Hoping I can get my dash decent enough to get wrapped and not look too bad

I purchased a new S10 4x4 extended cab with a off road package back in 1989 just for hunting and it had that same digital dash. It had the best layout for the gauges, but they did have one problem it didn't like the cold weather. The dash would be very dim until the cab got above 25 degrees.

Luckily for me she will just be out in the nice weather, but yeah the clusters had their issues. Many had issues with soldering making them stop functioning correctly. I ended up getting a second cluster recently so that I could get the connector for the back that supposedly doesn't work at all. I am thinking it is the soldering problem but want to try it before I run the current one I have just so I know once I have it together if I need to get it fixed

Stayed at the shop last night to get a little more done, but felt more like I was just treading water. Figured out my front DRL/turn signal problem apparently is the socket itself. So I guess I am going to have to cut off and make my own connectors, I believe since it is usually just the same color the signal wire just flashes at the same connection. Which won't work with the DRL since it just makes the white flash instead of doing the amber sequential

Ran out to Ohio yesterday for this, enjoyed the drive there quite a bit. Not so much on the way back, hate how Google forces you to toll roads. I don't want to give those commies my money, ended up adding an hour to my drive since it kept sending me ways I didn't want to go. Thought I was gonna get cheered up by at least getting Steak N Shake since they all closed by me. Went in and they only had their most basic burgers, was a total buzz kill

Stayed and sanded the dash again thinking I would hopefully have it ready for wrap, but still wasn't pleased with where it is. So gave it another round of filler

Put some more time in over the weekend, don't know if I would consider it much progress but at least got the rear of the overhead console in place and attempted to see what it would look like there. I cut in a small piece of the headliner to see if I could find a bracket up front but didn't see anything from my cut. Was hoping to get some measurements to know what to cut out of it, but no luck as of yet.
The front signal lights are still mystifying me, I cut off the connect to play around with which wire is the constant and which is the signal but they both act partially so will have to put the power probe on it next time I am messing with it to get a better idea. Did test out the clock/volt/temp gauge I am going to put in the overhead

Got some time to play with it again, got a piece of wood bonded to the roof to mount the overhead console front screw. Gonna get it mocked up one more time and then drop it off when I pick up the dash to get it done by the pro to match the inserts since I think this one will be above my ability/let me spend time on other stuff. Also messed with the DRL's some more, thinking I might be best to repin the plugs in the switches cause I can get them to work correctly in reverse since for some reason both connections get powered when on as a driving light which then makes it flash.

Where did you buy that? Or is it built?
