What are planning to use for engine management? I’ve probably asked this previously and have forgotten. Gettin’ old is a beetch

Honestly still going back and forth about that because I keep going back and forth about putting it together with the 700r4 thats in it even though I really want to bite the bullet and go 6l80 or something l80. But my buddy keeps saying when he was at the rebuild shop that he still did a good bit of l80's so that may not be the solution either

6L80 limits your options, and there is no need for all those gears with forced induction. A 4L80 will make you smile. Put a Holley in it and never look back.

I always thought this in my head. Glad to see I wasn't crazy.

The reason I was thinking 6 speed is because I am thinking it will do a decent bit of highway, I have always wanted to do the Hot Rod Power Tour and was thinking this would be the vehicle I would do it with.

You have a turbo or two, the power band will be wide enough to cover those two additional gears - seriously.

But do as you wish, the 6L will lock you into a factory ECU which I personally avoid like the plague.

2, probably for the best since I am really only finding the 4's anyways for a reasonable price. I haven't had really good luck with my Holley stuff for the Monte but know a bunch of people love their management setups

Got the second turbo and headers Friday so I stayed to throw those on

Got to try to and see how the new rad would work, it didn't but isn't too far from squeezing in so going to try and persuade it in by slightly moving the lower core support down some to see if that'll work

Got 95% of the way to getting the radiator to sit all the way in, sawzaw'ed part of it out that had been cut from the previous owner. Still needed to get another inch or so deeper but couldn't reach it, went to borrow the bike shops body saw to get in there but they run different air fittings and couldn't find their adapter so decided to give up for the day. Got it off of him today and he changed it over to our fitting cause he couldn't find his adapter either
