Can anyone tell me what the wire is that was bolted to the transmission case on this car? The motor was a 229 chevy 3.8.
It looks just like a negative battery cable, but goes under neath the car.

do you know what stock rear end gear came with lemans i had the same motor and trans but upgraded to a 406 efi sbc and 700 r4 but i still have the stock gears,

My Lemans also had the 229 chevy/metric 200 combo and the rear gear in mine was a 2:41 ratio. Hope this helps
