Just not my (or a few other folks apparently) cup o tea so to speak. The thing looks like it probably weighs 8000 pounds with all the particle board and fiberglass doohickeys everywhere.

At least it doesn't look like any Magnums were actually hurt in the process. That rear roofline is similar but its not identical, neither is the hatch. None of it looks LX to me. So calling it a "Magnum" conversion is just BS. Ditto the "Magnum" sunroof...

And explain to me the purpose of having video game controllers integrated into the hatch.... and a roll bar. You'd need a forklift to roll it over.

I'm just not getting it. At all. Carry on!

i'm sorry i don't have $130k to throw away on my car and make sure that a yugo with a bad trans can beat me at the track, drag or road. driver my *ss. bring that thing to new york, let be drive it, in a normal manner, for 1 day. kiss it goodbye. as to seeing this type of conversion before, how many people have the game systems, the monitors, the suicide doors, the reversed hood, etc. haven't seen the "magnum" conversion, bravo. yes, monte's have had 383's in them. of couse i never claimed to have the be all and end all, perfect, never done before, custom car. yeah i can tell that you love it when people don't like your work, it apparently happens alot. you have your opinion of the car, i have my opinion of the car. your posting this threead is an open ended invitation for all opinions positive or negative.

Whats with the huge K&N air filters in the truck?>?

I like the headlights---the rest looks ridiculous. Especially the wooded boat floorboards.

This from a guy who's daily driver is a Taurus, the car that screams"I've given up on all my hopes and dreams". What would be a real car? Are you saying a Monte SS isn't a real car? I"m sure all the guy on this forum would disagree. All the typical cars have been built to death, are there any new ways to see a 69 Camaro? Or an old Mopar? Show me another G body that's been converted like this. And as for the second quote, what does it wanna be? What do you see everywhere? Some guy with a few TVs? I'm sorry, we couldn't come up with something as original as a regular SS with a 383, because none of us have ever seen that combo before.

The car was built as a driver, we were fortunate enough to convince the guy to let us show it for a year before he did so. The car has took 1st place in every catagory its been entered in. You guys who flame are tools who can't afford to make a "real car" yourself. Personaly, I love to hear people talk sh*t, hate it as much as you want, but it makes you feel something. So I win either way. You guys sound just like the guys who take second behind us at all the shows. For the guys are aren't trying to justify your piece of sh*t by flaming mine, thanks, the love is greaty appreciated.

funny last i knew i also drove a 1978 Malibu oh yeah it has been restored i could drive it daily but i guess i am smarter than that for not daily driving a 130,000 dollar car. okay i am done now to each his own. enjoy your truly "unique" G-body

Diggler, I wish you would have used some restraint when building it.. You just went overboard in about every aspect of it... but it is a 'show' car.

Anyway, can you tell us more about the headlights? How'd you make them and what'd you use?

I like it. I too am sick of seeing G-bodys all built the same way. Mad props to you on coming up with something difrerent. All the work looks top notch. Post up some more pics, I would really like to see it with the hatch down.
I also am interested in learning a little more about those headlights.

To each his own boys. I can definitely appreciate the work and imagination in to customizing of this calibre. There is a definite sense of accomplishment when you get everything to work on a one off vehicle like this. I can tell you all that this was no easy feat from my own experience with electronics, customizing harnesses, tuning, fabricating etc.. On that note although my hat's off to you for the innovation, dedication and hard work I don't see myself driing that car. I get the baseball cap turned sideways, underwear hanging out, lots of fake chains around my neck, and *ss of my pants at the back of my knees impression from this car! Just not my style.

[quote="at least my car DRIVES. thats a gaudy, useless, overdone, wannabe, piece of crap. and no its not original, it's the same stupid crap i see everywhere.[/quote]

so when that thing was at the detroit autorama wut class was it in and how many cars were in it because i was in high school took a willys down there a couple isle away from that thing and yea we may have came up second but it was to a $900,000 car.

i like the idea of the originality but i feel like u took a luxury/Mucsle car and turned it into a ghetto fabed grocery getter

but its your choice its how u like it and people will have mixed opinions on it

my 2 cents.

well i like the exhaust exit.i also like the headlights and the interior in the front. The back half conversion I hate and the rims are useless. what happened to the monte being a 80's muscle car? lifting them and putting ugly rims on defeats the purpose. what's next corvettes? Camaros? I just threw up in my mouth a little thinking of a lifted camaro with spinners. Just plain useless! that's my cents whether u wanted it or not. lol! 🙂
