um okay I don't call it a "real" car because you can't drive it anywhere except the ghetto at 3 miles per hour. thus not a real car. point #2 my car/truck doesn't go place to place in a trailer. and ya i know u weren't talking to me but i work on my own stuff and i use steel not fiberglass and inferior design. yep i called it that... compared to Boyd.. it's crap, compared to foose.... crap. So ya it was hard to make but if you want to build something "new" don't make it look like that. sorry I'm opinionated.. i actually like to drive my car and not have it mistaken as some dead rappers tribute hearse.

Saying its not my style, is a respectable opinion, saying its a useless piece of sh*t, is flaming. Opinions are just opinions, voicing them doesn't make you a tool, flaming somebody makes you a banana licker. Speaking out on what you think is ghetto, well, that shows your narrow mindedness and upbringing. Everybody is right in their own mind. Yes I did post it here for opinions, duh, and yes, I did expect it to be flamed by some. I know everybody has their own ideal car, or what one should be, is a $200,000 pro touring camaro a useless car if its only street driven once a month, I mean its built using high end suspension components and all high dollar driveline parts that will probably never see their full potential, and even most of these cars are built with tv/dvd combos in the centerconsole.

And for the guy who was at Autorama, they placed us in the Wagon Class, and no, I didn't expect us to win, there were some really really nice wagons down there. But it was a pleasant suprise to win. The car was basicly built to show how extreme you could go with a G-Body. I restored cars before, but wheres the creativitiy with that? I've owned and got board with a 69 Chevelle SS 396, 70 Mustang Boss 302, both FULLY restored to stock by the way, and a 96 Corvette Collectors Edition. I"m a GM guy to the core, but I get tired of seeing the same cars built the same way everywhere I go.

We are no Boyd or Foose by any means, and to be honest, don't try to be. That niche market has been pretty well covered by quite a few builders, although last year my partner got a chance to talk with some of the guys from Foose's build team, and actually showed pics while we were building, the guys loved it, and not in a scarcastic, "yeah....it looks....goood" way.

Lastly, it kills me how everyone lately acts like they're pioneering G-Bodies being muscle cars and people in the "ghetto" are doing nothing but ****ing them up. G--Bodies have been a "ghetto" staple for years, I"m 29, and as far back as I can remember, thats all everybody had in Detroit. It was an affordable RWD car that looked good with just rims. Over the past few years, it has amazed me at the intrest in these cars, actually kind of bums me out because most of the ones I want the most have become priced out of my price range(have you seen what a mint SS or G/N goes for these days??!?!). I'm not mad at your opinions, but there is a fine line between voicing your opinion, and just being a compete *ss.

bull crap the G body was made ghetto when they got really cheap, just like the 80's Cadillac's. listen i live in a big city (Youngstown and Akron) and I'm not being narrow minded, i see these cars everyday and it makes me sick. what are they good for, telling everyone that you just burned a bunch of money on a 80's car. I like to drive 'em and have them handle well. see that's why they are built, so i can drive them 100 mph and get a couple of g forces out of them when i upgrade it.

I see people ruining g bodies all the time not because it makes sense but that is what society told them is cool, or tight or whatever. I'm saying they have no real purpose but to ruin what was originally a nice car. I've seen them up close and 80% of them have bad craftsmanship, custom length drive shafts that are way out of balance and a lack of attention under the hood and the under body. it's flash with no reason. the car in question.. ya good work but for my money i would have made a TT vette with carbon fiber body or something that in my opinion has real world power and performance with looks, not looks with out anything behind it... we call that dodge magnum.

in my opinion u guys could have just took a malibu wagon and pimped it out then it might have been reasonable.

so since i kno your from the metro detroit area cause i also seen that car up at wild woodys before it was done on a trailer and u just said in detroit have u ever been down to warren and livernios on a sat nigth

the title of this thread is the exact opposite of the truth

i think the title was the biggest setup for evryones opinions

ya i think so.. at least your dodge has a hemi. it doesn't... a normal v-8... no. oh sorry. at least it's a wagon. i think.
