Im new here but thought I would see if anyone has had any of these problems??My driver door is stuck closed,it used to open from the inside but after I locked the door one day the door is completely locked up.Its not budging??Also my driver seat is a power seat but it wont move, you can hear the motor trying but its not moving??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The seat motor has a u-joint coupler that connects the electric motor to the seat mechanism. These are made of plastic and over time, they get brittle and break...I know mine did. I had to make something to join them together and then I glued it up so it would hold. Worked for a few years, then the whole piece came apart. so my seat is stuck in one position till I can fix it. As for the door problem, u might need a slim jim to work the door lock mechanism to unlock the door. Sounds like the handle is broken or the rod running from the handle to the lock has snapped.

Cool thanks,im gonna work on the door first and then try to figure out the seat. Also I have a problem with my floor shifter, when I try to put it in park it stays in neutral and I have to turn the steering column into park. What would make it do that??Maybe the linkage going bad?

The linkage could be binding somewhere, but having to turn the steering wheel makes me think theres other issues. Does the steering lock when the key is off and the trans is in park? Has the ignition lock cylinder been replaced or tampered with? If the car was stolen at one time, the lock mechanism for the trans/steering wheel might be messed up.

I dont have to turn wheel itself,I have to turn the steering column.Like where a column shifter would be,but their is no shifter their its on the floor in front of the middle counsel.

ooooohhhh.....ok...well then the shifter linkage from the trans to the steering column is not connected. Usually, when you move the gear into park, the column will turn as well so the ignition can be turned off and on and the steering wheel can be locked. look under the car and if you see a rod hanging down on the drivers side under the floor board, thats the part that has come loose and must be reconnected.
