Greetings guys; Well I'm 1/2 done with my Modernization - Re-Fresh. If ya ever want Engine machine work done, Wegner's is One OUT Standing complex-shop. They 5 axis ported my heads & a precision valve job + a .015" skin cut all for under $600. Now I'm 1/2 done matching the head ports to the Fast 102 base. Then I got to match the Fast base to the head ports. I did end up buying a cam, the Affliction ya know & that's in the short block already. 209* I @.599" lift, 217* E @ .607" lift. Hope to gain nothing on the bottom end & Gain a bunch of mid range with a bit of top end gain?? Time will tell. Last week I got push rod length established & valve to piston clearance checked. These Ls-2's look to handle about .640" lift without interference, always check? Sold nearly everything in the pervious post. I posted one of my OE lifters with 45,000 miles, that's why I purchased a cam.
Ah the Bronze Brick, watch for it on Motor Trend TV as the new Care Taker is going to do something that he's not telling me?
Ole' Bob.

glad to see ya still pokin your head in every now and again! glad to see retirement isn't slowing you down any!

don't know how I missed your other posts, but the car is looking good! does the throttle body upgrade that you've done, solve the pedal issue that you dealt with at the Dragon?

lookin forward to seeing the Pont, err, Holden back on the streets!

Darin

I know it's not a G Body would "G" TO be ok? Here's my 2006 LS2 400HP Automatic, red interior, couldn't find a stick in the area so ended up with this one (had been sitting on the lot for over a year) had 6 miles on it! Car now has 35k miles, JBA Shorty Headers, QTP Electric Cut outs, Rear Coil Airbags. Great car: solid ride, eats tires up, and very few know what it is capable of. The ultimate sleeper at any light.

Good Evening Guys; Mr. Super Charged, I put JBA shorties on about 8 years ago, off road mids & various axel back mufflers. I got Magna Flow's on it now. Off set, off set to the same side so they are tucked up vertical with Corsa black chrome tips.
Hey Darin; I had a fella named Jeff Bohman repair my OE gas pedal with real solider & retired the Ls-2 Throttle Body for a 2008+ gold blade Ls-3 unit,. So far so Good? Oh slowing down - retirement, ya my Ole' body is screemin' at me most days that's why I paid to have my heads ported. As my ole wrists can barely do the port matching. I just got in from the hobby shop as I 'm 99% done with one head now. I'll post a picture in the coming days. I should mention NO Native American (Pontiac) emblems anywhere! Ok the seats say GTO yet but I have sheep skin covers, so they don't show. How in the world can a Chevy guy drive a Pontiac anyway?? GTO side badges have been replaced by the correct wing repeaters. And check out my New Zealand V-2 rear wing let, finely got them damn holes covered on the boot top. I couldn't decide to paint it silver or black, so I had fade away applied. Now from the back I got black high lights. Since I speed less now days I'm not as worried about stealth.
Mr. Castro; consider joining us Holden Monaro - GTO, G-8, SS Chevy Nuts on Face Book, & or on Ls1 GTO forum. Thank you all for your friend ship, Ole' Bob.

Greetings guys;
Ah the Bronze Brick, watch for it on Motor Trend TV as the new Care Taker is going to do something that he's not telling me?
Ole' Bob.
Glad to see you’re still at it Bob. And can’t wait to see the Brick - please let us know when it appears on Motor Trend.

Id mention to keep the faith, but I’m confident you don’t need my encouragement to keep the faith.

Greetings Guys; 6 months later, I'm slow it's together & on the dyno! Being tech challenged I'm not sure that you will be able to open the PDF or video? So the #'s are 431 HP @ 5600 & 425 lbs. ft. of torque @ 5050. The new valve springs gave up at 6000, off a cliff. I take 49% of the responsibility since I changed build plan adding a cam after buying the springs. But feel that the manufacture tech guy is partly to blame. He assured me that the springs were up to the task. I gotta say those tech guys have a Tuff job matching cams & springs for Ole' guys with unusual builds. The springs that under preformed are 136 on the seat & 412 open. Not only he, but me to, thought that would be plenty! The extra weight of the full roller rockers, 3/8" dia. thicker wall push rods, the fast cam ramps & short travel lifters all teamed up to prove us wrong. I'm hoping that they will warranty the springs?? I wrote them a letter yesterday, signed my mane on paper. The Good news is it makes the Outomibile Way More FUN to drive! And yes the short travel lifters are nearly as noisy as solids. And that sound seems amplified by the this plastic of the FAST intake. The GuTOo is now a Grand Touring Hot Rod Outomilbe. Ya can hear me comin'. I think I'm back in a 12 second car? Ole' Bob.

Sweet ride! I've always liked those cars. I'd like to have a Cyclone Gray 06 with a 6sd.

Have you seen the Vauxhall front end?
I like the Holden front best, but these wheels look sweet!
