To be honest, I doubt there's any freon in there anymore anyways.
Use a pen to check for pressure at the valve. I doubt there will be.
As long as you don't **** with your heater hoses, your heat will still work just fine.

yep.. no freon in system, got the lines & compressor out, but still need to pull condenser & canister.. then i should be done under the hood other than clamping shiz down an junk
