ive done a search through the forum and couldnt find any positive results about whether or not anyone had tried using those dash caps that are supposed to go over the old/existing cracked dash. has anyone used one of these before, or know of someone with info about it. id like to try it out, but im a little skeptical. this is the kind im talking about:

seems that with some cars, your best bet is to remove the dash before you glue it on and/or remove all badges and vents/vent covers, trim, etc. They will last longer than the original. but it might take some finesse and ingenuity to make it look like it's not capped. I'm gonna get one. hope it works.
