I'm not a fan of amazon but I do order stuff once once in a while. I can confirm I live under a rock cause I didn't know they deliver their own stuff. I usually get the order delivered to the post office so I can pick it up when I have time. One of the items could not be delivered to the post office so I set up delivery for my place. It was supposed to show up on the 11th but it showed up today which is Sunday which I never knew they delivered on. I wasn't in any hurry so I guess that is why it showed up early. I still have a few double edge blades from my razor that local stores do not sell and the rest was office supplies that the local business supply store charges way too much.....

I’m kind of with you on the Amazon thing. I personally have never bought anything from them and only last week I signed up with them. It’s not a prime account but I still haven’t purchased anything there. The only reason I did was because everyone I work with buys everything except groceries there and my buddy was looking for a Holley trick kit, which is around 140.00 most places. At Amazon it was 120.00. So I thought maybe I am missing out on something. Hmmm.......

Like everything and everywhere else ....You got to know your prices.

They deliver 7 days a week and with the prime the shipping is free

95% is next day shipping the other 5% is 2 day.

At lest around here it is

My daughter is in college, and they offer a cheaper Prime membership ($60, I think) to students, so she orders most of my stuff for me.

TURNA is right, definitely have to know pricing, some good deals, and some not so good deals to be had

I periodically buy from Amazon but I still shop around first to make sure they have the best price, I tried the free Prime but not all items qualify for the fast shipping and I didn't feel it was worth it to pay extra for it.
The one thing that impressed me was when I did a return I set it up to drop at a UPS store on my home and I walked in with just the package (not boxed) and my phone and they scanned the code and gave me a receipt and an hour and a half later I got email showing my credit.👍

i as well use amazon.my wife and kid had prime. i ordered a couple times from amazon. i decided to sign up for prime.i used to be a ebay buyer but since i found amazon it seems like they are the only one i buy from.i as well price shop even for car parts.they are now my go to place they seem to have the best prices and cant beat 2 day shipping.i just bought a pair of springs from them. they were 74.99 for set every where else i looked was 89.99 plus shipping.also shocks they were 45.99 amazon every where else they were 55.00 plus and then shipping on top. just my input.

I have noticed a couple times something in my cart or watching would have a price drop for a couple days, I bought my brand new 4 seasons heavy duty compressor for $77 when the average price everywhere was $167 .

We live far enough from civilization to make Prime worth it. Probably 5 Amazon deliveries per week here on average.
For car stuff, I buy oil and wipers from Amazon. Filters get piggybacked on to Rockauto orders and I usually have 4-6 on hand for each car. I still Ebay a lot of more obscure stuff.
Don't forget, you get some streaming service with your Prime account too.

We live in the middle of no where so having 1-2 day shipping on most things (and very specialized stuff) to our door is a huge win for us. Retail shopping is the devil.

I am quite willing to pay a premium for a little convenience at this stage in life.
