Amazon

Not being on Prime I do see some items just sit there after I place my order and take sometimes 5 days before they are even shipped.
I can order something on Ebay and have it shipped USPS and it would be faster.

You gotta watch the Amazon delivery. By me they just slow down a little and heave it in the general direction of your door. They are not what they used to be at all and I use them only as a last resort.

Biggest complaint I'll always have with them & all other online stores is you can't see the item physically untill it gets delivered. To be honest I am willing to pay a few extra bucks if I can see & have it that moment instead of waiting on a delivery service to drop it off.

amazon is a love hate ting for me. but damn they have everything., local places as much as i'd like to support them just don't carry a lot of stuff anymore and if you have to order from them it takes too long. i always check amazon, walmart and ebay for things. one alys has it cheapest and i'll buy accordingly...

couple months ago i ordered a fluk electric meter from amazon while i was at work. by the time i got home from work that same day the meter was sitting on my front step.. can't beat that.. 🙂

to get it delivered that quick was a real fluk....

There's a brand spankin new Napa store in my little podunk town and I absolutely hate shopping there because prices are ridiculous and the current staff isn't all that knowledgeable. Plus they don't stock much so you have to wait a day or more for most parts anyway. My dad had a dealer's license and wanted to set up an account there if he could get better pricing -- they wouldn't give him any discount at all. Autozone about 15 miles away is the next closest and I don't shop there unless it's an emergency, which is rare.
I guess I should feel bad for brick and mortar retail and would probably pay a little more to shop local but if they can't compete on price, service or availability, they deserve to fail. Hell, I'd take 2 out of 3 but rarely even get 1 anymore.

I only go to the Auto parts store if I either want it, or didn't plan ahead properly, and need it now. When I have to go to three different stores (not all the same company) to get 8 AC Delco spark plugs for a 5.3, something is terribly wrong. Now I just try to stay a week or more ahead and order all of it online except for oil and chemicals. I may have to try ordering the oil. The brick and mortar have done this to themselves. They are convinced invetory is a bad thing. Put bad service and ridiculously high prices on top of that and I don't understand why anyone is in the auto parts store anymore.

Even batteries. We ordered the first battery for the Camaro through Amazon on a Sunday. It was on our doorstep Monday afternoon. Obviously this won't work if you are broke down but I don't see how you can beat it otherwise.
