Anyone good with car audio?

In my Magnum I run a 5 channel Kicker Amp. I get 75x4 watts per channel for my interior and 1x400 watt for my sub. I have Diamond Audio door speakers and 10" dual voice coil Kicker Solabaric L5. My sub vc's are paralleled to 2 ohms. Enough for me with quality products. Makes the world of difference.

okay I see we some experts here so I'll just tell you what I have...

Head Unit - DEH-P500UB http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P500UB

Subs - 10" 350-1000watt 4 ohm (TS-W1007D4)x2 http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Subwoofers/Champion+Series/TS-W1007D2|D4

The amp I have is junk and my interior speakers are still stock, I am looking to upgrade my sub-woofer amp and my interior speakers, I will amp my interiors with their own amp if need be. I had always thought interior speakers should always be powered by their own amp, but lots of people tell me I am wasting money with interior speaker amp...I am not looking to shake the dishes in your house from down the block or anything. I don't blast my stereo too loud either, just loud enough to hear it over my exhaust, and turn it down sometimes so I can hear my exhaust lol. The only thing I still haven't really decided on is whether or not to adapt the rear speakers to 6x9s or buy a good set of 4x10s

Go to 6x9s, they sound better. And if you can find the kit, go to 6 1/2s.

I have 6x9s in my cutty. I started with the Pioneer 4x10s but didn't like the sound, so I upgraded to 6x9s can't remember the brand right now though, but they sounded better.

u dont need an amp for interioir speakers i just use one so i can control the gain going to them. when i turned my stereo 3/4 of the way up my interior speakers sounded scratchy even with the sub shaking my brain i could still hear the bostons distort so i bought the 200 pioneer and wired it to the bostons and problem solved scratch free sounded crystal clear. but i like to jam when i cruise if u dont turn urs up that loud its no big deal u dont need one

6 1/2"??

Yeah like jacobdavis says. You don't need a 4 channel, but they make your music sound better, when properly tuned. Head units have baby amplifiers on them and they are tucked away behind the radio in a dash with little ventilation. It only makes sense that a bigger amp with ventilation will give you better sound quality. Like I said, good head units give good quality sound signals(via rca's and pre-outs), not necessarily good amplified wattage.

I think someone makes an adapter plate on ebay for 6 1/2" speakers to go in the 4x10 openings.

I thought pre-out was an amped spot for speakers in head unit?? Mine has pre-out spots...sorry if I miss interpreted. check out the link so you can see what I'm working with

So far my upgrade will consist of new 2-channel amplifier for two 10" subs, 4-channel for interiors, new 6x9 rear speakers with adapters and 3.5" front speakers

I actually have a brand new set of front speakers a friend gave me but I never put in...They are Kicker DS35's

So tell me what kind of recommendations you have for me

yea ive heard about the adapters. like fittings so u dont have to cut up ur interior. cutting up mine scares the crap out of me
