ok they are dual voice coil do u have a budget for ur amp or any brand in particular i like alpine fosgate and all that they are good but expensive right now i have a hifonics amp cuz their nice cheap affordable and reliable

I definitely am on a budget, not a very good one but I want something that best suites my subs and that will be reliable so I'll fork over cash if need be. Also what size power, ground and speaker cable should be used and what size inline fuse? Any other components that would benefit me?

sonicelectronix.com is where i buy all my car audio stuff i never go to any car audio shop cuz instead of helping u they rip u off
i would buy a 4 gauge amp kit (good enough and gives u room to upgrade) which usually includes everything u need which will be
.power wire usually around 17 feet
.ground wire usually 3-6 feet
.17 foot rcas
.17 foot remote turn on wire
. inline fuse (60 - 100) amp fuse will be ok
.zip ties loom tubbing etc.

this amp is good enough and good price it gives u room to upgrade to bigger subs http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_235 ... 00.1D.html
it does put out more wattage than u need but is ok just keep ur gains conservative and u will be ok

oo and speaker cable 16 gauge will be fine make sure ur using brand name wire they are more expensive but well worth it because its true rated wire

That does look like a nice amp. I don't plan on upgrading down the road on my stereo though.

i used to say that lol no lie more than 1000 bucks into stereo equipment and i dont see it stopping soon but yeah check out the website for more mono blocks make sure they are stable at 1 ohm that is a must

o and for wiring kit this one looks nice http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_722 ... osche.html

why am I looking at mono amp? just trying to wrap my head around this all

i know its confusing but mono amps are meant for bass the circuitry and all that is very diffrent from none mono they are built to be more power efficent and turning the power they use into music not heat ( i started off with a 2 channel and used to use it for my subs and it used to get hot as **** and it had integrated fan now my mono runs a bit cooler with no integrated fan) theres a lot of factors to it i just cant remember many right now

if u look at the settings on a mono amp the crossover they have are only for lower frequiencies and thats the only cross over they have while on anything else thats not a mono amp like a 2 channel they have diffrent crossovers for high frequiencies lower frequiencies or all frequiencies its very hard to learn car audio if u never messed with it first hand as soon as u start getting ur equipment u will learn and everything will start making sense

well I know how to install it all lol, I already have a setup in my car and have done a few others...but I just know how to install.
example I have those subs being powered by a junkie bazooka 3-channel amp that I just know is not right. I also installed them using the kit sold to me which had 10 gauge power wire & 8 gauge ground with a junkie inline fuse

yeah i get u everyone thinks installing is the hardest part but in reality its other electrical knowledge u need or the math that u need for all the other stuff like ohm loads amperage setting ur amp gains wiring ur subs in parallel and series theres alot more to it
