Whats this interior drone that I keep on hearing about with Flowmasters? Iv had them for 2 years now and I dont know what people are talking about :?

I ask myself that same question when I hear people say that. The only thing I can think of is possibly they are confusing drone with vibration???? Vibration is shitty hangars. But I dunno maybe my ear isn't highly tuned like others. :| They may not be the best muffler out there for performance but they are far from crappy.

Maybe you don't have the drone sense... 😀 There's a certain RPM where you're cruising and the pulsations of the exhaust resonate with the interior of the car, and the drone emerges. For me it was right around 2,200 RPM I think. Not a chance it's vibration, it's resonance. I love them too, absolutely love them, but not the drone.

theyre all new hangers that i have, its just so annoying how they vibrate, some people think its sick and i cant see why...it only started to vibrate when the exhaust was shortened to put turn downs on it.

Your better off just buying a complete setup rather than piecing it together IMO.

I don't know man, just my opinion, but all an exhaust system is is a bunch of metal pieced and welded together. If you've got a newer system and everything's fine except you don't like the mufflers, just get some new mufflers and have them swapped in. If it's a rusty old system, that's a different story.

ifthe turn downs point right at the ground under the car if u can take the turn downs off try taking them off i have a full 3''set up with 3'' flow masters that dump right b4 the rearend and i dont really have any vibrations goin on but i did with the turn downs on the end and thay pointed right at the ground

both of those sound pretty nice, i think im gonna end up getting the 12inch long cherry bombs bec thats the only ones i see that have a 2.5inch diameter
You can find 18'" and longer glass packs in the 2.25 inch size, which will work fine on your system. The longer glass pack has a nice deep sound and less pop and crackle that give them a bad rep. True duals w/out X or H pipes and cherry bomb glass packs sound great IMO....Ive never heard a system with glass packs and a cross pipe.
now should i get a 2.25in. if i have a 2.5in. exhaust?

If you plan a 250 upgrade in anytime on the next few years go for the 2 1/2 so you don't have to replace the whole exhaust system, like I have to.

Id give up a 1/4inch of tube size to have a longer glasspack...this isnt a high BHP engine, so I dont see much of a loss that would result from the smaller mufflers. JMO....

my exhaust isnt rusty, and even when i had the turn downs they vibrated, i think its the mufflers...i believe theyre 50's...not too sure but theyre 3 chamber

Just remember, smaller pipes make that farm truck rapping sound.
