Are vortec heads worth it?

Can you guys post a link to where I can get a set of Vortec heads?

For the center bolt valve covers the ones for the vortec heads are taller then the center bolt valve covers you find on non-vortec heads. The non-vortec head center bolt valve cover with not fit on a vortec head.

Well i got them. And tell ya what. They are CLEAN. The guy that sold them to us said they came off a fast burn crate motor. The customer of his wanted more power so they went to some dart pro one heads or something like that. But my only question now is, the heads didnt come with rockers. Can i use my stock sbc rockers on these heads? And we took our 02 gmc envoy. Ended up with like 22mpg. Which isnt terrible. And no snow problems.

No, you need self aligning rocker arms.

If you are interested PM me for a deal on a set of Comp Pro Magnum self-aligning rockers, centre-bolt valve covers, and a RPM intake and 650 double pumper carb set up. Might even be able to hook you up with a set of LS6 valve springs, retainers and keepers if you are planning on running total lift over .488".

FWIW, I went from a set of 305 heads to box-stock Vortecs on my 355 and ended up going mid-12s at 110mph on 87 octane. Simply amazing heads for the money.
