Are you tired of ?

And if it actually is a law, it's in no way inforced. So it's not really even a law, is it?

It certainly really is a pile of volumes. Reams and reams of volumes. 😱😕

I don't know if I'm tired of the LS or not, but I think the Turbo Buick sites must be. It's really knocked the stuffings out of them. What used to be the King of Hot, now just has a bunch of hillbillies with dazed looks. 😀

I don't mind them. Half of the ls swaps I see are half assed and still get beat on by older well built sbc's and such. I'd like to see more radical ls swaps instead of "mild cam and turbo" and call it a day at 500 hp with nearly stock blocks. I wanna see high comp, race fuel, blowers, vacuum pumps, extensive head work,400 shots, etc. It seems like a good amount of racers are still putting an effort toward building bad *ss old school gm blocks. I think if you're gonna go for power and spend the time and money then you might as well go all out, and not be a hipsterm

LS1tech is full of those radical builds. Unfortunately the price tag is on par with a small house.

I know they're out there and it seems like most of the radical builds are in car that came factory with ls style engines. Like most swaps are kinda mundane. They're the new "350 with intake, carb and headers" in to a previously v6 or 305 car.

I am with you. However for those reading along at home:

I'm tired of seeing grand national's and regal t types getting the turbo v6 swapped out for ls engines also. If you want to do ls swap's do that on base model gbodys.
Or people trying to pass off any black regal as a gn.

i said to hell with V6 and V8 and swapped a toyota straight 6 into mine. just to be different... i will be honest. taking off my pants and running dick first into a box fan would probably have been a better idea. but it starts up when i reach in and turn the key every time. way better than my 3.8 did. LS engines are better than small block engines in every way. but like you said everyone has done it. its not because of a bandwagon thing. its because it works. yea you get people that are all like "ima take that dang o' fuel injection off of that LS engine and make it even better" thats sh*t... if it were better with a carb then it would come from the factory with one. its more like " let me take that fuel injection off cause i dont know how it works and im not willing to learn" fuel injection is way easier than most people think. if you just pull a harness and computer off of a truck with the 5.3 you are getting anyway then its all there and you can get the data link connector and read most any data you want off of the computer. even while you are driving. its like having a lab scope in your car at all times. you take the factory computer and you hook up a few wires. key hot, battery hot, ground. depending on what engine you put in it. you may have 2 key hots or 2 battery hots or both. probably 2 or 3 grounds. the engine harness will be already on the engine anyway. just make sure everything is plugged in. your engine harness will plug into the computer and thats it. your starter harness will be kinda stand alone. big wire goes to the big terminal. small wire goes to the start signal from your ignition switch. starter grounds to the block. if you look at my regal post you can see a simple way to make an electric fuel pump work off of the factory sending unit. just remember to go replace all of your fuel hoses with fuel injection hose. and get better hose clamps. make the swap in steps. dont look at it all at once just look at it in each step. (mounting, starting, fuel, main harness, cooling). dont get just settle for what you know. learn something that you dont know. read about it, watch youtube videos. ask questions on forums.
